I built a new frame for an ASUS Monitor 27”, removed the backlight in order to use the screen transparent with natural light, as done on this video https://youtu.be/Shp5JhOqdKI https://youtu.be/Shp5JhOqdKI I was extremely careful with the electronic components but the screen soon started to flicker and bands went horizontally, it came back and worked for a while but now won’t even power up. Can someone please help me to know how to go about this without damaging the device? Thank you very much, Nick

I covered the top of the electronics with steel sheeting instead of the usual aluminum and tested the monitor with shining a power bank with a flashlight built in it and don’t know if this would have or something else interferes with the electronic components.

Here are both sides of the two circuit boards aside from the LCD and both sides of the LCD circuit board.

Asus VC239h: Salvage LED monitor that fell face down

A few weeks after my warranty expired my cats decided it's time to kill my monitor and I arrived to it face down on my desk. (Was probably kicked down from behind since my monitor was behind this window grill my cats can climb and jump on) No obvious physical damage to the screen but when I turned it my windows desktop was all over the place, with some miscolored regions and some flickery ones, an incoherent image altogether. Did the usual troubleshooting and failed, and I assume the "controller" inside might be the root cause? Any chance I can still salvage this?

ASUS VN289Q LCD Monitor: Horizontal lines across the display

Hi,

I bought an ASUS LCD Monitor last year and over the last few months it has developed a fault where faint lines are displayed across the display. The lines don't show on white backgrounds, just darker colours. There is then a black line that fades towards the middle of the LCD at the top. I have tried the monitor with different computers over HDMI, VGA, DVI and DisplayPort. I have also tried to reason with ASUS but they are unable to repair monitors apparently and can only offer a refurbished unit (A repaired display?).

Thanks

Asus VC239h: Suddenly showing vertical lines and flickering

It just happened suddenly while I was using it, now it’s unusable. There were a lot of flickering and pink/black/white lines appearing. The monitor was also 1 year old and I’m afraid it maybe out of warranty.

The only change that I made with my monitor was that I replaced the power adapter since the first one broke, it wasn’t exactly the same brand and model, but I made sure that it has the same 2.1A output. It worked for a few weeks, and then the monitor broke.

Issues: Wouldn't turn on so I unplugged everything other than then power supply.

Troubleshooting: I unplugged the power supply from the monitor and plugged it back in, the white light on the bottom (that signifies that the monitor has power) would do a little sparkle every time, but wouldn't stay on. The monitor wouldn't turn on either. Power button did nothing.

ASUS ROG XG258Q: Full Black Screen Not Working

I own 18 ASUS ROG XG258Q monitors, two of which are not functioning. They display a black screen, even after testing with different DisplayPort and HDMI cables, and on different PCs. Other monitors work fine with the same PCs and cables. Tried to change all cables...

None worked!!!

ASUS VG248: Stripes on Screen, Is this worth fixing?

Hello!

My old Asus screen started to have some horizontal stripes on the screen. Its not related to the cable or GPU i tried different cables, different screens and the same screen on different computers, its acting the same way everywhere.

Basically, I would like to know if this can be and is it worth being fixed https://ibb.co/dj8FscR or shall I just make my piece with it.

Thanks!

ASUS VG248: Monitor menu keeps on popping up

One of the buttons is continuously stuck in a loop. It's the down button on the monitor. So it just automatically keeps on changing the display modes.

The screen is white when it's turned on. Why could this be? Is it worth fixing, and if yes, could I do it myself? Many thanks in beforehand!
