Dryer: Why is a new igniter not igniting?

Hello

Our dryer is not heating so I replaced the igniter and solenoids. Still no heat.

I don't see the igniter starting/ glowing when seen through the little hole on left.

Why won't the new igniter not ignite?

Maytag dryer: No heat Maytag Commercial

I have replaced every part of the heating system on this Maytag Commercial that I have. Drum spins, blower blows, no heat. New thermal cutoff kit, new element, new cycling thermostat. I did leave the old fuse because I figure dryer wouldn't be running at all without it. What am I doing wrong. I've now sank $150 into a dryer I got for free. I really can't afford much more in it.

Samsung dryer: Samsung Dryer Not Heating - Not Drying

Our Samsung dryer (Model DV48H7400EW/A2) wouldn't spin the drum after powering it up. On checking, I found that one rear roller had lost its center bearing and the other was not rolling true. The idler pulley had come apart allowing the belt to come off. Of course, the drum wouldn't spin.

I bought the kit from Amazon that included the idler pulley assembly, 4 drum rollers and a belt. Before installing the new parts I did a thorough cleaning even taking the fan disk out and washing it and cleaning all the dust, lint, detritus from inside the case.

I had to remove the rear bulkhead to gain access to the rear roller retaining nuts which meant that I had to take the screw out of the heater assembly bracket (at front) and slide the assembly forward to allow the bulkhead to move forward. I did not disconnect any wires to the heater assembly.

To remove the rear bulkhead I completely removed the top which meant disconnecting the cables to the PCB. I took photos before and made sure all connections were made correctly on reassembly.

On reassembly, the dryer powered on without any errors. The drum rotated and I thought the heater was working but could not be certain. My bride tried to dry a load of clothes. There was no heat. The fact that the unit powered up, turned the drum and seemed to be working correctly leads me to think that those PCB reconnections are OK

Before I order a heater assembly, I thought I should ask what diagnostics I should run to isolate the problem to be sure it is the heater that is broken. I know my way around a multimeter. I have an infrared remote thermometer.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Samsung dryer: No spin,makes sound,turns off like its done

So samsung dryer will not spin. After I put clothes in and start it up, a couple lights flash. I dont know if that is normal or not because Im using my mother's because mine just went out. But after I push start, it makes a noise, then makes that little musical sound and turns off like it went through the whole cycle. But it didnt . All that in a matter of maybe 2 min

Electrolux Dryer: Electrolux dryer power button delay

My EDC2086PDW was bought about 2018. Lately it has often been slow to react when we press the power (on/off) button. It usually powers on after pressing this button for about a second, but now it sometimes needs longer pressing. Occasionally more than 20 (yes, twenty!) seconds.

Anyone with a similar problem, and possible fix?

Kenmore Elite dryer: dryer will not shut off when clothes are dry

My dryer stopped heating so I replaced the heating element, the coil was broken. I also replaced the high limit thermostat. Now I get the heat but dryer will not shut off when the clothes are dry using the automatic cycle.

Dryer: Beko DTGC8011W tumble dryer capcitor replacement

I have a Beko DTGC8011W tumble dryer and the capacitor has failed. I have got a replacement one, however after watching various videos, and opening up the side panel, there is no capacitor that can be seen or got at.

There are no other inspections panels or anything else that I can see.

Has anyone else come across the same issue, or can advise where the capacitor is located?

Amana Dryer: My thermal fuse keeps blowing in Amana dryer despite best efforts

I, being the broke man I am, have a cheap dryer (Amana model # NGD4655EW). It worked fine for three years though, not drying loads super well but getting the job done. About three months ago the thermal fuse blew, and I learned a lot about dryers to fix it cheap because, again, broke. I replaced it, cleaned everything, and made sure it worked well. It worked great, drying plenty more laundry until two days ago when the fuse blew again. I, confused, checked everything else and it was just that. Air flow seems fine, heating element kicks on and off as needed, continuity on all the other doodads in the back are great. I replaced it once more, and it's blown again.

I am going insane here. I'm cleaning out the whole thing every time I take it apart, and I replaced the dryer hose. I can't clean the ducts in the house as I'm renting but they seem clean enough for air flow for me. I've felt outside and it has warm air.

What do I do or look at? I don't wanna do redneck maintenance and just bypass the fuse, and I REALLY don't want a drying rack, but dryers are expensive. Thank you!

LG Dryer: Timer won't shut dryer off

I have the same problem on an LG DLE4870W dryer. The On-Off button and the Pause-Start button seem to work normally, but the drum continues until I shut it off at the breaker.

Kenmore Dryer: 110.65132411 No power, not fuses, working door switch

My 110.65132411 dryer just sopped working the other day no power no inside light. It has blown the heating element before so i took off the back checked everything

all fuses are good and tried bypassing them to be sure

thermostat is good even swapped in a extra, power does get to it

it does have power to the start switch and it does function. no voltage drop when pressing start

The door switch does work

the timer looked burned maybe so i replaced it

there are no circuit boards other than the moisture sensor but i only use timed dry so wouldn’t think that matters. the unit was 500 and that board is over 200 so not going to replace that

After checking all that no difference no loose connections. there looks to be power getting everywhere but the inside light but seams to have no power,

Kenmore Elite HE3 Dryer: My Kenmore He3 is super noisy

My Kenmore He3 doesn't have a heat problem, but it's also super noisy. It's quiet until it gets up to speed, and then it gets unbelievably loud - sort of a grating sound. I took my it apart today, replaced the belt & replaced the thermal fuse (I already knew that was bad), and reassembled it. Mine is still super noisy. I don't see a fan in the back anywhere, although the drum rolls on four rubbery wheels. They're soft, but not too soft. Could it be them?

Is there a drum bearing somewhere I'm just not seeing. Sears sold me a new one, but I sure didn't see where it went?

Dryer: Dryer stoped working. How the sock could get inside the dryer blower?

Hello, my dryer stopped working. Master came to fix it and he found that the sock was caught in the blower wheel of the driver. As he explained the ONLY ONE way it could happened is that I dried clothing without the lint filter. Which is not possible since I never been drying clothing without the filter. Can you please tell me is it any other way for sock to get into the blower wheel? And how to prevent that happening? Would like to avoid the same situations in future

Whirlpool Dryer: Dryer heats on one cycle only

I have a Whirlpool LGR5636JQ0 gas dryer that has 4 drying cycles - Automatic (High Heat), Automatic (Low Heat), Air Fluff and Timed Drying with cool-down. The only cycle that produces heat is the Timed Drying. I've replaced the thermostat and fuse, and cleaned the internal air chute and the lint hose. Is this an issue with the temperature selector? I turn it on and it boots up just fine and allows me to select all the options like it normally does, but when I hit start it it doesn’t spin or heat while the timer goes down. Is there a way to fix this? (Model is MAYTAG BRAVOS quiet series 300)

LG TrueSteam: Loud Noise, rumbling, low pitch when spinning the drum

My dryer makes a very loud rumbling noise when the drum spins. It’s a low pitch rumble (not the high pitch squealing that I have heard with prior dryer). It still dries the clothes and functions properly, but it’s just very loud, almost as if there was a heavy object spinning and bouncing with the drum (there’s only clothes). How can I fix it?

LG Dryer: My LG DLE2301R Dryer will not turn on!

Okay so I powered on my dryer like normal and when I pressed the start button the whole dryer shut off. The light in the drum comes on when you open the door. I have checked our fuse box and they are all fine tried doing a hard reset as the lg troubleshooting people recommended did not help. Feeling frustrated has worked fine all along never had a problem worked on the clothes prior to the next load to get dried then stopped please help!!!!
