DualSense: Why is my right trigger super sensitive when pressed down?

I was recently playing Call of Duty Cold war which takes heavy usage of the new adaptive triggers and randomly I kind of felt some weird clicking or something on my right trigger and then it became so sensitive to touch that if I lightly rest my finger on it then it thinks im pressing it? The adaptiveness still works like I can feel when it needs me to put more pressure to shoot in-game but for when it doesn’t then it’s just super sensitive to touch.

DualSense: PS5 Dualsense Controller - Faulty 3.5mm Headphone Port

I’m running a split Headphone/USB Microphone setup (Audio Technica ATH M50X headphones, RODE NT MINI USB Microphone) and recently my headphone port has begun disconnecting on my Dualsense controller. It happens when I either rotate the jack inside the port, or if I lightly pull on the jack too (a good example of this is shown in this video as to how loose it is: ''https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXyNlGFt...). This is a slight annoyance considering I have to then disconnect everything and reset it all up again.

Has anyone dealt with any similar headphone port issues/replacements?

Thank you!

DualSense: PS5 Controller displaying orange with white light

Dear All,

Thanks for taking your time to go through this post.

I recently purchased a PS5 controller to use it with my Mac, iPhone, iPad devices. I do not have a PS5 Console. I was wondering how to charge the PS5 controller. I connected the controller via USB-C cable to Mac and I could see that there is orange - white light that is being seen in the controller. However, even after successfully connecting the device with iPhone, the controller is showing the same light. It is not blinking but constant orange-white light as shown below.

This controller is just 3 days old. Is there any issue with the controller or is the normal behaviour. Also please recommend how to charge the controller. Can I user a power bank (6V/2.1A) to charge using USB-A to USB-C cable?

Your valuable inputs will be of great help to me as I am a starter.

DualSense: Right joystick is pointing staright up after replacement.

Hello, after months of painful stick drift, I decided to replace the right stick on my dualsense controller. However, after doing so, the stick works side to side but on the y axis is stuck pointing up and the only movement that is registered is on said axis is on the bottom half.

Basically the whole range of the stick is just in the lower half and nothing is registered in the upper half. Did I get a malfunctioning stick? Or do I need to "center it"? I can attach a video if more detail is needed. Thanks for the help!

DualSense: Faulty Headphone jack, only sound on right ear

Hello,

unfortunately my headphone jack is not working properly anymore. I wanted to stand up and go away but my leg was tangled in the cable of my headset and I didn’t notice. So the Controller flew away and hit the nearby table in a way that almost broke off the headset plugged into the headphone jack. This ended up destroying my headset and the headphone jack. Now I can only hear sound on the right side when I plug a new headset in. The only way I can hear sound left and right is when I push the headphone connector in a certain direction when it’s in the headphone jack. How could I probably fix this? Is there a way to bend the pins back inside the headphone jack?

Thank you in advance

DualSense: What temperature to use for soldering on dualsense controller?

I purchased the soldering kit so I can fix stick drift on my dualsense controller. Planning to replace them with the Gulikit TMR joysticks. It's my first time soldering/desoldering.

The soldering iron included does not have temperature control but

it maintains a temperature of 460-485 degrees celcius.

The included solder's melting point is 227 degrees celcius.

I've watched the ifixit video "How to Fix PS5 Joystick Drift for Good!" and the temperature used was 400 celcius.

Is this okay to use if I keep minimal contact time and use the iron when it's not fully heated up or is it too hot/risky and will damage the board?
