work force pro printer 4630: Problem downgrading the firmware of an Epson WF-7840

Good morning everyone,

I've had the bad idea to upgrade the firmware of our Epson WF-7840 (version CD17M6 now).

Now, our non epson cartridges are not recognised anymore.

I've search the web about how to downgrade the firmware. I found the procedure, found how to put the printer in "recovery mode" and, on the Epson website, I found the "Recovery Mode Firmware version CB08LC" for the Epson WF-7840.

But it doesn't work...

First problem, the model of the printer does not appear in the "Epson firmware updater" but it sees that a printer is connected.

Second problem, and it is where it stops, when I launch the Update, it fails with a message on the printer's screen "Data file not found".

I tried with my mac (macbook pro 16" m1 max) and with an older macbook pro from 2009 with the same result. I tried with another USB cable and still no luck.

What am I doing wrong?

Epson Printer: Epson Workforce 1100 prints test page only

My printer sounds and move like it's printing, but the paper shows nothing.

I had cleaned the heads at least 10 times. The test page prints ok, but only.

All others print in white.

The noozle check shows yellow, cian and magenta, but no black.

Minha impressora só imprime a página de teste.

Já fiz limpeza de cabeças umas dez vezes. No Nozzle check aparecem as cores mas nada em preto.

Todas as outras tentativas a folha sai em branco.

Howdo I print a test page on wf 2530? Should be similar to Epson WF 2540 but you don't have that printer listed.

Epson ET-3760 Printer: et-3760 will not print multiple color correctly.

Epson WF-2540: Why is the printer not turning on?

I bought this printer last year and never touched it or took it out of the box until now. The printer is brand new. I set up the internet connection without any problem. However, I started printing and all of a sudden, the printer turned off by itself. I tried turning it back on but would not turn on. I even tried changing plugs to see if the plug is the problem. What can I do to fix this printer?

Epson SX215: Epson SX215 Prints Fine in Windows 10 But Very Slow Windows 11

Changed laptop from windows 10 to windows 11 and now the Epson printer takes like 2 mins to print a test page - I checked the drivers and it loads up as a SX210 series and i searched for SX215 but doesn't exist from what i can see

Downloaded what i could from Epson support and still the same result each time & also checked printer settings

Totally lost :-D

Any ideas ?

Epson workforce wf-7710: Vertical alignment very poor and seems impossible to fix

My wf-7710 has developed poor vertical alignment and the Epson procedure doesn’t seem to help. Indeed whatever I do seems to make things worse. The alignment page lines mostly show large white gaps in every position. I’m reluctant to dump it because everything else seems to work. What can I do?

Epson Printer: Epson cs-t2100 driver does not recognize roll width

I insert a 450mm roll into the SC-T2100 plotter and the plotter recognizes it with that width. When I want to print, the drivers do not recognize that width, but set 432mm as the closest smaller width from the list in the roll paper width field and lock that field. Can that list be supplemented with a width of 450mm or possibly change some of the existing values.

Epson WF-3640: Epson WF-3640 paper jam message, spring and gear fell out

I queued way too many papers for my printer to handle and it got jammed. I had no idea I can open up the back side to remove it so I opened the scanner unit and forcefully pulled out the paper from under the roller, so I think I broke something.

I found a small gear that came out but I reattached it ( red circle ) but there's also a spring that I have no idea where it came from. Check it attached photo, you can see the spring right there

Epson Printer: My printer acts like it is printing, but NOTHING appears on the paper.

Everything looks and acts fine but the paper is empty. I have a low M cartridge (should arrive tomorrow) but it won't print anything on b/w mode either.
