Google Pixelbook: Pixelbook Keyboard replacement instructions

During one of the heavy down pour of rain. I did not have my Pixelbook in the case. It of course got a little wet. Now the power button and many of the keys do not function correctly anymore. I would like to stop carrying around a extra keyboard to use the Pixelbook. Any help out available?

Hi, I read the excellent aryicle explaining how to remove the back cover of a pixelbook go. Since the battery is glued to the back, I’m assuming that the best way to replace the battery is teplacing the whole back cover. Is that correct? If it is, where can one find a replacement back cover? Thank you in advance.

Google Pixelbook Go: Re-insert clamshell pin into hinge

One end of the hinge on the Google Pixelbook Go has slipped out of place. I do not know how to reinsert it. The two pieces of the clamshell do not feel flexible enough to bend and allow the pin to slip back into the hinge.

Does any one have a source for 2015 Pixel parts? Google does not offer parts or a repair service for the Chrome Pixel.

I'm trying to find a display (LCD, glass & touch) for 2015 Pixel LS. The 2013 display isn't compatible

I would like to know if someone can guess what happens with the screen. At the beginning I saw it at the left-down corner and now it happens at side and a little bit at the upper-left corner. Thanks!

Thanks for all your answers. I just remember that before it got blurry white, I forgot it in the car under the sun and when opening, I saw some kind of glue coming out from the screen. is it possible that glue touched the screen? And I think that is cooling glue for the laptop.

Chrome OS is missing or damaged. Please remove all connected devices and start recovery. I tried by ESC + Refresh and Power but does not work. Downloaded the Recovery from google but dont know to go to recovery please help.

I would like to install Windows on the Pixel Book as I have finally gotten into an education that doesn't typically have any programs that actually run on the Chrome OS platform and the more I see the Windows platform running on Mac Books of friends and other actual windows computers the more I would like Windows on my Pixel Book

I have Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Win 7, Win 8, Win 8.1, Win 10.

So really I think I can get this system running any of them if I want.

My Pixel Book is the Intel i7 16gb RAM version with 512GB of storage.

I will sacrifice everything. I will power wash the device. I will remove the battery and anything else needed. I just want windows on this thing and any problems and damages done to the software is ok as long as the software of windows survives and I am able to use my ITT skills to fix Windows.

The battery on my pixel 2 has started to become a concern after draining a few times. I've been checking for battery replacements every couple months, but no where on the internet does it seem anyone is selling this, or even looking to buy a replacement battery. I might as well be the first person to ask.

Google Pixelbook: Cannot boot. Screen stays black.

This is a Google Pixelbook (i5, 8 GB RAM, 128GB) bought in 2018 and out of warranty.

Last Sunday, after a software update, pixelbook rebooted andafter a while the screen turned black and since then I haven’t been able to boot it up.

When I plug the charger, led is solid green. But if I try a boot, a hard reset, or anythin else, nothing happens (except at the led level there is some activity)

I have a case opened at google support but because this is out of warranty, agent was pessimistic that they can do anything.

Here it what I have already tested:

standard boot but pushing power button: nothing
hardware reset - Holding refresh and pressing power
recovery mode - Holding Refresh and Escape and pressing power
another one - Connect the charger to the Chrome OS device. Hold the side power button + Refresh key and remove the power adapter as they keep holding on those buttons. Wait for 1 minute. Press the side power button to test the device. Connect the power adapter and monitor the LED color. Device should try to turn on and LED should blink or have solid color.

Nothing has helped so I guess there is an hardware issue. Do you think it could be the motherboard to be replaced ? I am tempted to try to follow - Google Pixelbook Motherboard Replacement

I accidentally dropped my chromebook behind my bed and now the charging port is coming out slightly and when I put in the charger it has absolutely no move at all, no working, nothing. I don't understand exactly what to do - I'm only a teenager. I tried opening it and hammering it back in a few times, but no glory. Any advice?

How do I get or Buy and what is it called the Flex Ribbon Cable that connects the LCD screen to the motherboard? It's about 3 inches long and very fragile. Where can I buy one or get a used one? Also could someone please explain how the %#*@ thing connects to the screen? I have a silver piece and a wire rectangle hook looking thing. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

Google Pixelbook Go: Repair or replace Pixelbook Go camera?

Is there a way to perform a hardware repair to get my Pixelbook Go camera working? I've done the powerwash and all the other recommended actions. I believe the camera has "conked out". This is the second Pixelbook Go that I've had this same problem. The first was replaced by the mfr, the second one quit working about the same life point as the first.
