Huion tracing light box: Tracing light pad won't light up, any advice to fix it?

My tracing light box doesn't work, and it's not due to the plug wire (I checked with the electrician tester and it's working ok).

The light does not turn on when I press the button, so I guess I should open the device and check the internal connections or led itself, but I don't know how to start!

The pad is so thin and looks so unaccessible.. it has no visible screws either.. any advice?

Wacom Cintiq 24HD: Screen goes black, power still on

My cintiq 24 hd is no longer under warranty. The screen will flash on for a second when I turn it on and then go to black, with the button lights and fan still on. Any idea what's wrong?

Wacom MobileStudio Pro 16: Is It Worth Fixing?

Hello, I have a Gen1 MobileStudio Pro 13 that I bought in 2017. I did have to get the battery and screen replaced a few years after while it was under warranty. However, the battery has started swelling recently, and it’s very worrying. It’s no longer under warranty and it’s too expensive to go through Wacom to fix. I’m kind of scared of using a heat gun in order to disassemble it as I’m not sure if that will make the battery worse. I also have to mention that the SSD has also been slowing down more in the last few years and has become sluggish, which makes me wonder if it’s beginning to fail. I'm wondering if it’s worth fixing it myself, or replacing it with a newer model or a comparable Windows-based tablet computer?

Wacom Cintiq Pro 13: Can I make the usb power to skip the button to turn on.?

My power button do not work, and cannot turn on my cintiq. Is there any chance i can make to skip to press the button to turn on. Like if i plug in usb c on the device , the device directly turn on.

Graphics Tablet: INTUOS 5 charging port repair

My Intuos 5 tablet has recently stopped working and i believe the problem is the port connecting to my tablet (it's a USB mini-b [5pin] connector). it seems like the port has wiggled out of place and is not longer connected to the tablet internally, i have used multiple cables and usb ports on my computer so i know the problem must be the connection on the tablet, i bought a wireless adapter to avoid using the cable but it doesn't seem to work, i got a wall charger for the batteries but it wont turn on; the instructions say to power the battteries via cable but i dont see why it'd make a difference. if you have a solution to either of these problems i'd love to know. i'm fairly tech savvy and im capable of repairs however i don't want to try to disassemble my tablet unless i have some idea what to expect

Graphics Tablet: Inconsistent pen-to-cursor calibration with BOSTO 13" display tablet

I was working on an illustration when my pen accidentally rolled and fell on the floor. After that the cursor on the display monitor does not set accurately to the point of the pen. When i set the pen on the middle of the display screen the cursor is 2 inches to the side. I tried restarting the program, the laptop nothing worked. It seems like the problem is not with the software but i think something within the wiring or hardware of the pen got messed up in the fall. What should i do? I can't find any tech support for this brand in my country. Can i just order a wacom pen since the software i use for my graphic tablet is wacom? Will a wacom pen be compatiple as a replacement? please help

Graphics Tablet: I need to purchase the 30 pin LVDS socket for this tablet's connector.

Stupid me bent a few pins in the lvds socket of a wacom 21 UX. I was since scouring the web to replace the socket that was broken, but came up empty handed.

Maybe someone could point me in the right direction. I've added photos of both the connector and the socket.

The socket seems to have a pitch of about .5mm also the connector seems to be a really small Dupont connector. (I can't find what this is called)

The lcd model is: nl160120bc27 by NEC.

Need help safely opening a Wacom MobileStudio Pro (DTH-W1621)

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to open my partner’s Wacom MobileStudio Pro 16" (DTH-W1621) to clean the cooling system and replace the thermal paste on the NVIDIA Quadro P1000 GPU, which is reaching over 100 °C under load.
(Toon Boom Storyboard Pro triggers an NVIDIA OpenGL Driver crash and then a BSOD “VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR”.)

I’ve tried everything software-related (drivers, updates, system cleanup, etc.) but nothing has worked — so I’m now focusing on the hardware side.

I’ve already removed the back panel (RAM and SSD access), the fan section, and the connector board cover, but I’m stuck at separating the main glass screen from the chassis.

Before going any further, I really want to avoid damaging the screen or the machine.

Here are my main questions:

Should I lift the glass screen itself, or the plastic bezel around it?
Where are the best entry points for plastic picks or spudgers?
Are there any fragile areas or ribbon cables right under the glass?
And if anyone has photos, videos, or internal diagrams of the 16" model, I’d be very grateful!

I’ve got all the proper tools (iOpener, suction cups, plastic spudgers, etc.), and I’m taking my time to do this cleanly.

Je cherche à ouvrir la Wacom MobileStudio Pro de ma compagne (modèle 16", DTH-W1621) afin de nettoyer le système de refroidissement et refaire la pâte thermique de la carte graphique NVIDIA Quadro P1000, qui monte à plus de 100 °C sous charge (Toon Boom Storyboard Pro déclenche un crash NVIDIA OpenGL Driver puis un BSOD “VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR”).

J’ai tout essayé côté pilote, logiciel... Rien n’y fait, donc je me penche maintenant sur le matériel et les composants.

J’ai déjà retiré le panneau arrière (accès à la RAM et au SSD), la partie sur les ventilateurs, et la partie avec les connectiques, mais je bloque sur la séparation de l’écran principal (verre collé) du châssis.

Avant d’aller plus loin, j’aimerais éviter tout dommage sur l’écran et la machine.

Voici mes questions :

Faut-il soulever directement l’écran, ou bien la bordure autour de l’écran ?
Où se trouvent les meilleurs points d’entrée pour les médiators ou spudgers ?
Y a-t-il des zones fragiles sous la partie à soulever ?
Enfin, si quelqu’un a des photos, vidéos ou schémas internes du modèle 16", je suis preneur.

Normalement j’ai tout ce qu’il faut pour faire les choses proprement (ventouses, iOpener, spudgers, etc.).

Merci d’avance pour vos conseils et retours d’expérience, surtout si quelqu’un a déjà ouvert cette tablette ou remplacé la pâte thermique. 🙏

After twenty incredible years of life, my lovely Wacom surface is scratched and needs replacing. But, of course, original replacement surfaces (the plastic sheet on top of the sensitive area) no longer are made. What sort of plastic is available in at least the right size (for cutting down) and with the right thickness and "tooth"?

Hello all, when I plug my Wacom Cintiq 22hd in it turns on with a blue LED (indicating a video signal when there is none). It should be an orange LED.

I have no screen on the cintiq however, the computer recognizes it and the express buttons still function. Any thoughts?

Also, I can’t power down the cintiq for some reason.

Wacom MobileStudio Pro 16: Battery not charging beyond 4%

When starting, the device wouldn't charge beyond 7%. Contacted Wacom and they suggested I try:

Disconnect all cables from the tablet
Open the Device Manager
Remove ACPI compliant Battery and AC Power adapter
When disconnected, press and hold the power button for 20-25 seconds
Wait 10-20 seconds then press and hold the power button for 20-25 seconds
Now restart the tablet so Windows will reinstall those drivers and leave the tablet connected for at least 2 hours

When that didn't fix the issue, they advised uploading drivers. Which also didn't work and it's now a non warranty return for $1,232.00 repair. And I just feel they're going to just replace this one with a refurbished one for that cost and I would rather try fixing it myself.

Now it's at 4% and I'm hoping someone here can help me in possibly finding a solution because everything else works fine. I also don't mind if the solution is to somehow make it to where it's plugged in like a computer rather than it acting like a tablet.

And any other solutions are welcome.

Wacom Intuos Pro: Why won't my tablet turn on?

I have a Wacom Intuos Pro Small Bluetooth tablet, and its been great so far but infortunetely my cat spilled juice all over it and it hasn’t been working since. I actually tried pooring water on the effected areas and it did work for a while, but it eventually stopped working again, how do I fix this? I can’t open it either.

When i point my pen at certain spots on the tablet area the cursor on the screen just begins to flicker or makes a detour around that spot. This happened overnight so i dont know what might have happened.

Wacom Cintiq 24HD: Won't stay on. Power loops on and off for 2 seconds indefinintly.

As soon as I hit the power button, the fan turns on, buttons light up, and I see the desktop screen. Then it shuts down and tries to turn on again. I timed it and it is just under 2 seconds that it stays on. Off for less than a second. I have to hold the power button to stop the loop.

Does a part need to be replaced?

It was working 2-days ago. I checked all the connections. Nothing was disconnected but I still disconnected and reconnected cause why not.

Anyways, long ramble over. Any advice is most appreciated.
