The whole time, the screen is black

Yes, Ive done a power reset.

This is a freebie, I had to add RAM 2x4gb=8gb, keyboard is warped (from removing RAM?) I’ve not put a HHD in yet.

The charger it came with seems totally fried, since it doesn't work on other laptops either. But even when I tried using a few other working chargers on this laptop, it still wouldn't light up or respond. It feels like power might be flowing through when it is plugged in, and I even popped it open to try running it straight off the wall charger without the battery connected, but still no luck.

What do you think could be causing this, and how can I fix it? Is the motherboard just cooked?

I have already tried:

1. Using DDU in Safe Mode to wipe drivers.

2. Installing the official HP OEM drivers and the AMD Adrenalin drivers (both fail after a restart).

3. Updating the BIOS and Chipset drivers to the latest versions from HP's support site.

4. Disabling Windows Update driver search to prevent overwriting.

The driver sometimes works after 3+ install attempts, but as soon as I restart or power off the laptop, it reverts to Code 43 in Device Manager. I do not currently have tools to open the laptop and reseat the RAM. Is there any other software workaround or known hardware flaw for this model that causes the GPU state to be lost on reboot?

Not reacting on any buttons combinations. Turns on only if I connect the power adapter.

Tried to change the battery but not helped.

I've tried several ways to solve the problem: toggling off the startup apps, optimizing the machine for the best performance, uninstalling several apps that I found out I didn't need (and probably were the cause of the problem), running some command prompt programs for fixing maybe any corrupted files and restoring the health of the machine, etc...

All of these, and more, haven't worked!

I have already performed the following troubleshooting steps without success:

1. Hard Reset (Drained power for 60 seconds with battery/AC disconnected).

2. Tested with AC adapter only (internal battery disconnected).

3. Reprogrammed the BIOS (flashed known good firmware).

4. Isolated components (disconnected SSD, Wi-Fi, and secondary boards).

5. Attempted boot with CMOS/RTC battery disconnected.

The laptop shows NO blinking patterns on the Caps Lock/Num Lock keys and there is NO fan spin or display activity. Since the BIOS reprogram and basic isolation didn't work, I suspect a power rail failure on the motherboard.

Are there specific voltage rails (3.3V/5V/CPU_VCORE) or power management ICs (PMIC) known to fail on this model? Any advice on board-level measurements to take next would be greatly appreciated.

I have been using an HP EliteBook 8560p for a while now. It performs tasks very well when on battery power, but when plugged in, it becomes unresponsive and unusable. It was hard to get the task manager screenshot, but I managed.

For some reason, the CPU is at 0.11 GHz when plugged in, but it goes to around 1 GHz (an average speed on the desktop with all apps closed) when on battery power. Can anyone explain and help me solve the significant slowdown of the CPU when plugged in? Thanks.
