Huawei matebook X: 2018 Huawei Matebook 13" MACH-W19 battery replacement.

I bought a tool kit to enable me to replace an aging battery. YT videos indicate that there are additional screws underneath the feet. Rem oving the first one revealed another plastic bump surrounded by what looks like a circlip (???) At which point I began wishing I'd sent the laptop to Huawei for the job.

Any suggestions?

last night i spilled my water on the keyboard. it shut down itself and i turned it upside down. its still not turning on after almost 24 hours. is it saveable or should i take it to the service center?

Issue: Windows 11 system with limited functionality due to Secure Boot and having forgotten Bios password

Can only restart/reinstall Windows 11
Cannot wipe drive, dual boot, or make major changes
Secure Boot is enabled
and ask for the BIOS password for access
CMOS battery location not found
Service centers suggesting paid repairs or motherboard replacement
any suggestion to remove /bypass the password

Huawei MateBook D 15 (2020): How can I fix my laptop keyboard after spill

A day ago I spilt some coffee onto my laptop keyboard, after wiping it down I let it dry Infront of a fan for a day some of the buttons such as the P key are also activating the Backspace key, same as with the right arrow key which is also activating the enter key. Is there anything I can do to fix this without replacing the whole keyboard.

Huawei Laptop: Where is the bios password jumper located on Magicbook 14

Bought a used laptop, want to install a new OS or fix the previous one (broken registry), but I can't access bios since apparently it requires a setup password. Not really sure if I should be looking for a password jumper or perhaps a cmos battery, but can't seem to locate either.

Huawei MateBook D 15 (2020): My Laptop’s Motherboard Was Corroded But It Still Turns On

Long story short: My laptop’s motherboard got rained on but thankfully, it still turns.

Questions are at the bottom of the post

So, my laptop (which I just bought 4 months ago) got rained on and it causes corrosion to my laptop’s motherboard.

I went to the service center and they showed me what happened to my laptop and how it looks like. I personally think it’s not a huge corrosion but I still want to know your thoughts.

Anyway, they told me that it’d cost me around $600 to repair my laptop. I said I’ll think about it and went home.

When I get home, I immediately put it on a rice container and planned to keep it there for 3-4 days.

My plan is to keep using it after I drain it on a rice container since I can still turn it on and I don’t have enough money to have it repaired.

Also, just for the background:

The laptop’s issues are some keyboard keys are not working (backspace and enter key), and it initially won’t turn on unless the charger’s plugged in (but it somehow got resolved when the technician at the service center looked at my unit)

So my questions are:

1. Is my plan okay or do I have to have the corrosion cleaned up?

2. Can I have it cleaned up on a local technicians? The service center said they can’t clean it up and they just offer replacement.

3. Most importantly, in the case where the motherboard really gave up. Can I still have it replaced with the new one, or will the laptop be beyond repair?

my laptop can't enter the application with no problem but stuck and hang a bit in the apps but after i try to kick off (play the game) it when black and the apps was closed. i repeat the same thing and it goes like that everytime. may i know why ?

Huawei Laptop: Type C Charging Port Quit On Matebook D 14

During use, my Huawei Matebook D 14 AMD stopped charging. Didn’t think much of it, re adjusted the charging cord and it was fine. 15 mins later it stops charging. I took out my battery and attemped charging (did not charge), examined the charging port (saw nothing unordinary, cleaned it as well), tried multiple laptop usb c chargers in multiple outlets and configurations. The laptop version is obscure so any motherboards i’ve found cost as much as a new laptop. What are my options to give my laptop charge

Huawei matebook X: Water Damage-Keyboard and TrackPad

After some heavy rain, my laptop was completely wet so I switched it off and let it dry out for a day (rice/hairdryer).

Everything seems to be working fine now but the keyboard and trackpad. Some keys are working but most aren’t and the mouse is completely unresponsive. What should I do? Should I wait a few days and see if everything dries off and test out the keyboard/trackpad or should I visit a store to get the damage repaired immediately before I ruin other parts of the laptop?

Huawei Laptop: Why is my charging port not working?

So 6 months ago I spilled makeup removing liquid in the bottom of my bag, and a lot of it got onto my charger cable, and it wouldn’t charge my laptop anymore. Bought a new one and it was working fine, then it would only charge at a certain angle, until a few weeks ago when it stopped charging completely. I bought another and it still wasn’t working. I sent my laptop to a PC repair place; they said i was using the wrong charger (i was using a 30w adapter instead of a 60w one). i bought a 60w charger and it’s still not working. they said the charger port of my laptop is fine but i’ve used other charging cables and adapters and its not working.

Huawei Laptop: Water on the touchpad but still working?

I recently spilled a few drops of water on the touchpad of my laptop and immediately cleaned it with a cloth. Fortunately, the touchpad is still working. Should I worry and consider some safety measures in case if the touchpad won’t function in the future? Thanks.

Huawei Laptop: No charge after water damage

A few weeks ago my laptop got wet, so I put it in rice for 2 days and it started working again. A week later, it will no longer charge, but the laptop flashes on but will not turn on because it has no charge. I've set it in rice for the past 2 days to see if it would help anything, but nothing has worked. I've taken the back off of the laptop but am not sure how to disassemble it further.
