Lenovo Chromebook C330: Can I force recovery mode?

My c330 Chromebook is getting the dreaded “Chrome OS is missing or damaged” error screen. I am trying to use the recovery tool provided by Google, but I cannot get the Chromebook to go into Recovery Mode. I have tried the Esc+Refresh while powering up, I’ve tried the Ctrl+Alt+Shift+r to go to factory reset. I have tried holding the Volume Up and Down buttons at power up. I have also tried inserting media (USB flash drive and SD card) with the recovery utility. None of these work. Is there any other way to force the Chromebook into Recovery Mode? I am not opposed to taking the computer apart, summoning a friendly demon, holding a seance, or any other possibilities.

Lenovo Chromebook C330: tricky usb c port repair.

I am repairing an old Chromebook with a messed up USB C port. It only works when pushed very hard in a direction and even at that half the time it still doesn't work. Beforehand I have tried to reflow the solder on the port but have had no success as the solder just falls off and won't stick, even with flux. However, I then turned my soldering iron temperature up to 350 C and I got some solder to stick however no problem was not resolved. the kind of force im talking about is not just like pushign the wire a little I mean like a full push turning it nearly 45 degrees. Secondly when it dopes eventually recive power(inicated by the red light next to the port lighting up the screen will light up for a second and then both the led and screen go off(power disconnected).I've reached my wits end on what to do, and no guide exists for this Chromebook that I've found. I appreciate any help that I can get.

I have access to the tools in the Ifixit pro kit.

pictures of said USB C port:
