Electronic Keyboard: keys not working properly

I have a yamaha piagerro npv60. The B & C keys have problems with it. Here's the scenario: - both keys played together, respond to velocity. If you play fast trills or scale, if u hit one first, the next key, either B or C wont sound. You have to time it properly to work. If you hold down either B or C and then press the other... The latter won't sound. But take note, in combination with other notes all is fine. Same issue for the F and F#. This happens in all the B&C and F&F# on the keyboard. Please help! Thanks in advance!

Epiphone SG Guitar: How do I prevent my guitar's input jack from loosening?

The input jack on my Epiphone SG electric guitar keeps loosening after several hours of (nonconsecutive) play. I don't want to strip the backing plate screws by removing the plate to tighten the jack once a week! The jack on this model is on the front face of the guitar.

Other than looping the cable through the guitar's strap to prevent excess pressure on the jack, what's a good solution to this problem?

Possible ideas I've thought of include loc-tite (which I'd rather avoid) and replacing the jack's washers with larger diameter ones to prevent the tension from compressing the wood.

Korg B1: Korg B1 - specific notes don't work, problem with circuitry

Aloha all, I just purchased a Korg B1 digital piano with known issues. The keyboard sounds great but has specific notes that don’t work. Starting from the E after middle C, all Es, Cs and G#s don’t work.

Luckily, I found another ifixit post, the only place on the internet it seems, where someone understood why specific notes wouldn’t be working. Here is the link: ++"E" key and 3rd black key is not working.

I understand very little about circuit boards, but I was able to identify the problem immediately. C, E and G# receive and give inputs along the same path. There is an issue with the soldering on one of the *things* at the first E key, where the problem starts. See the images for this issue.

So, one of my problems is that I don’t know anything about circuits or circuitry terminology, so I can’t even describe this issue, much less start to fix it.

Can anyone help me at least put a name to this, so I can start to go about fixing it? It seems like a basic circuitry issue that wouldn’t be hard to fix, but I don’t know where to start. Any help is appreciated.

Teenage Engineering OP-1: Why is my USB port not working?

The USB-port (data connection!) is not working (whereas charging via USB is).

I got to know this, when I wanted to save my work and I could not. I tried different PCs with different OS (win xp, win 10, linux ) but the PCs did not recognize my USB device OP-1. Either (most of the time) the PC did not react at all or it showed the message "The last connected USB device could not be recognized.".

Okay, then I did something crazy: I tried all of the five options in the TE boot screen.

Most of the options worked, unfortunately option 8. "Format Drive" too.

After that my OP-1 did not work at all. I can switch the device on and off, but that's all, no button is operating. The device is still charging. Invoking the TE boot screen is possible and choosing the options as well, but because of the defective USB port nothing more is possible. BTW I tried several USB cables and several PCs.

Please give me some advice. Is there a TE service point, to which I can send my device in?

Thank you!

Musical Instrument: Yamaha Digital Piano P45 - C and F# don't play

Hello, the C and F# keys on my Yamaha P45 digital piano stopped working this morning. C and F# pairs on the 5th, 6th and 7th octaves and the last C8 key. I didn’t find any dust on the contacts. I tried reversing the ribbon cable which connects the higher octaves to the middle board, same result. Then I tried reversing the 27 pin flex ribbon cable that connects the keyboard to the PCD, same result. All the diodes on the keyboard showed the same output.

Has anybody else faced this issue? Any help will be appreciated.

The alternate functions of these keys didn’t work either. So these keystrokes are not getting registered. Either no signal transmitted or no signal registered.
