the console was discharged to 0, charging was not at hand, it was not correctly connected to the power supply up to 5v, attached to the battery at the extreme contacts, and at the same time to the terminals inside the battery compartment, then it turned out to buy external charging, the battery was charged, the indicator on charging shows that the battery is charging, the output shows about 4.10 volts, I measured it with a multimeter, but the console does not turn on, there are no signs, help who knows, thanks.

Nintendo 3DS XL: What other things I should try to fix my bottom screen for old 3ds xl?

My bottom screen does not put out display, just all black but the whole device turns on and everything works, just not the bottom screen.

I know the motherboard is the problem and not the ribbon cable of my bottom screen as I have tested the screen on a known working 3ds xl board and it is completely fine.

Now I'm stuck with what to look out for to repair. The 2 ZIF looks normal to me as far as my eyes can see, I do not have access to a microscope to look a little closer.

So before I do anything, what other things I should look out for other than the ribbon cables? Is it possible that a fuse is dead and which one are those? Thanks for the help

Like the title says my 3ds started giving me this error after i removed the sd card i have always used on it since 2011

I've used the card on a computer and its working fine,even formatted it to fat32 to make sure it wasnt a software issue but still gives me this error,tried a new sd card but same result

I've opened the console up and cleaned the sd card slot pins with isopropyl alcohol and tried to make sure the pins were okay but the issue still persists

Also used some compressed air to maybe remove dirt from inside the card reader I've already ordered a sd card reader for the console but im wondering what other options i have,any ideas?

Nintendo DSi: DSI flashing light, turns off when attempted to turn on

So I recently bought a new touchscreen and shoulder Button cable for my DSI and I didn't get to test them cause it wouldnt turn on. I figured I put the battery in backwards and I checked the fuses and the fuse on the button board seemed to be dead. So I ordered a replacement that just came. I installed it, the fuse looked good, and it still did the same thing. I have two batteries and they don't seem dead as the multimeter says one has ~3.8v and one has ~4.1 volts. I put it in a bunch for both, tried many things, took out and reattached screen and camera cords, and nothing seems to work. I need help with this please!!!

Very simply, the L and R buttons on my DSi don't work anymore. I tried going to Nintendo about the problem, but they said it'd cost at least $50 to repair...and my system is long past its warranty. Will I have to take apart my DS to fix it?

Nintendo 3DS: Blue light of death?

Found my childhood 3ds but it won’t display anything. It turns on, the backlight and the 3d light obviously shine through, but nothing displays. Opened it up (ignore the result of stripped screws) and nothing seems out of placed or damaged. Also unplugged various parts and tried turning on but same issue. Am I missing something?

i got a dsi that will turn on and then it turns off immediately after i hit the power button. i think it may have a fuse that may be bad im not sure but i wanted to check on here before i took action on trying to fix it

Nintendo 3DS XL 2015: N3DSXL turns on and stays on with only blue light and blank screen CFW

I accidentally dropped my N3DSXL while it was on and closed. When i opened it up, the game froze with an error i couldn’t read before turning it off.I tried to turn it on again but only the blue light stays on with no yellow light and the screen is blank.

Help is very much needed as i do not know how to diagnose or fix my dear 3DS without guidance.

I have a dsi where I would put in a game it would tell me that the save files cannot be accessed and power off the console. I tried again and again and still nothing.

Nintendo 3DS 2015: Right half of the bottom screen not displaying correctly

A friend accidentally dropped his New 3DS and now the bottom screen is like split in half, with the right side not displaying correctly. It's darker with vertical lines, like it has a scanline effect.

I have already taken the console apart and inspected it inside under a microscope, and the connectors and the ribbons of the screen looked fine. I also reseated them but that did not change anything. Any ideas what could have happened and is it fixable with a screen replacement? I don't want to just order a new screen if I'm not entirely sure it will fix the problem.

Nintendo 3DS XL: Weird System Power Issue

My 3DS is having a weird issue. When the 3DS's top screen's hinge is at about a 95-degree angle or less, the system works perfectly. However, if I push the screen farther back, the system fully turns off. I should point out that the system is not modded, meaning it isn't an issue after modding.

My new Nintendo 3ds xl will power on but at random times between seconds and 6 minutes the screen freezes audios stop and the only thing I can do is a full power off, happens even without games on or in the console. If I place the console on an ice pack the freezing does not happen, I opened up the back and see no thermal paste, but there is a pink powder spread throughout on the inside of the back plate, but could anything else be causing it/ is there a solve with getting thermal paste?

Nintendo 3DS: Stuck On Home Menu: Inputs, Sound, 3D Slider Don't Work

I received a 3ds in a lot of damaged electronics. I've managed to repair everything so far except this 3ds which has me stumped.

The system turns on and loads to the main home screen. The top screen animation runs, I can turn the wifi on and off, the game reader reads games, the system charges, if I hold the power button to get to the power down screen, I can press the home button to get back to the home menu, and I can enter the update/safemode screen when holding L+R+A+d-pad up (Edit: was d-pad down, I meant d-pad up). I cannot enter into touch screen calibration, touch input doesn't work. On very rare occasions if I'm holding down d-pad right when powering on the system, the home menu will start scrolling right indefinitely and I'm able to "fight" against it by repeatedly pressing d-pad left and only when in this state I can enter into an app if press A at the right moment (which is how I know the cameras work), but the touch screen still wont work.⏎

Otherwise though, the joystick, touch screen, ABXY, sound, and 3d slider do not work at all.⏎

I've already tried cleaning under and changing out the digitizer, as well as the bezel, and cleaning under the button pad stickers. I've also tried systematically disconnecting one component at a time and testing to see if anything changes or works. Unfortunately, though, none of this has seemed to work. ⏎

The scrolling right only happens when I have the system taken apart, but it isn't consistent with any specific component being disconnected.⏎

The battery does have a slight curvature to it, but I'm not sure if that would cause these issues. ⏎

Nintendo 2DS: 2ds powers on and boots up, but none of the inputs work

My 2ds powers on and boots all the way to the home screen, but neither the touch screen or any of the buttons such as the d-pad, thumbstick, or any of the other buttons work or cause anything to happen. My toddler was playing pokemon omega ruby when the touch screen started acting like it was being pressed repeatedly, and when I rebooted the 2ds for a little while I could move things on the touch screen (but it was like I was fighting joystick drift), but now it completely doesn't react to anything I do. Only the power button works, not even the home button. Has anyone faced something similar before and/or any idea on where to start for repairing the 2ds?

Nintendo 3DS XL: Popping Sound and Turns off Instantly.

My 3ds has had this issue for a while now, but i was able to easily fix it by hard resetting it. Now it won't turn on at all.

I've tried practically everything. I tried the angle to see if it would turn on, nothing. I opened it up and everything was connected and i looked at the ribbon cables for the screens, and none of them were torn.

I don't know at this point what it could be.

So I have tried cleaning the board contacts, changing the dome sticker. making sure the ribbon/flex cable is on correctly, I ordered a new board same issue. Im currently waiting on a new flex/ribbon cable. but the one I have im not sure shows signs of issues. is there any next steps to try or trouble shoot before I have to just get a new main board?

all the other buttons and functions from that board are 100% fine is really just the y button.
