the console was discharged to 0, charging was not at hand, it was not correctly connected to the power supply up to 5v, attached to the battery at the extreme contacts, and at the same time to the terminals inside the battery compartment, then it turned out to buy external charging, the battery was charged, the indicator on charging shows that the battery is charging, the output shows about 4.10 volts, I measured it with a multimeter, but the console does not turn on, there are no signs, help who knows, thanks.

Nintendo 3DS XL 2015: Device will not power up after attempting capture card mod

! I hope someone might be able to help me out here.

I was doing a capture card mod on my New3DSLL (the japan version of XL) a year or so ago now and when I got to the step on making sure everything still worked, well it didn’t work. With the battery connected I get no reactions from the device when trying to power it on. No amber, no blue, no lights at all. If I plug it in without thr battery the amber light lights up for 5seconds then goes off. If I connect the battery and the charge it lights up amber but still does not turn on.

I believe I may have accidentally put the battery in in reverse when I was trying to test ot initially, but cannot be too certain that that was the case.

I tested the red (0.012) and the blue ( 0L and then 12.00) as labeled on that one picture that floats around from infinity (it wont let me add the picture sorry). I am not too knowledgeable with multimeters and dont know if this is right.

Does this sound like a case of one of the fuses or the chip on the daughter board for the abxy being blown or does it sound like something else is wrong along the way of doing the mod?

Nintendo 3DS XL 2015: When I turn 3DS on, blue light appears but screen is black (has CFW)

So I was playing ACNL, then I put my 3DS in sleep mode after I was done playing. A week later, I come back to play and the screen is all black, though the blue light is still there. I figured it must have somehow froze, so I held the power button to turn it off entirely. Unfortunately, after that, every time I tried to turn the system on, the blue light appears, but the screens remain black, and I can’t actually do anything on the system. I‘m not sure what to do. If it matters at all, it does have CFW installed, but I doubt that’s the issue, as it’s been installed for about a couple years by now with no problems.

Nintendo 3DS XL 2015: My Nintendo 3ds xl (2015 model) has both screens completly black

My 3DS XL (2015 model) will show the blue light for power, but both of the screens are black. This happened in 2019, and I got it in 2016. I have been trying to fix it for months now, and even tips from @darthmango have not helped. I just want to know if there are any other ways to fix it, or if I should get it repaired. Please help @darthmango, Im losing hope :(

Nintendo 3DS XL 2015: modded 3ds: sd card detected no titles shown

the 3ds boots normally into home menu but the apps just do not appear except for the ones already in the system (download play, system settings etc.). it is a modded 3ds which also has a custom background thanks to anemone with shuffle install but it seems to be locked onto the same image. i tried to access the system managment data to see if it was wiped out but every single file was shown in the file list, opened the homebrew launcher manually with rosalina menu with no issues but it was all useless. i even tried formatting the sd card (128gb sandisk) and testing if it was broken but the problem was still there.

i don't know about how many games i have on it becasue of the 300 games limit i read about and even tried deleting some i didn't play anymore, coud anyone help me with a step by step guide? i am not very experienced with these kind of things.

Nintendo 3DS XL 2015: My system will not turn on, I've tried replacing the battery

I recently got my 3DS out of storage and found it wouldn't charge or turn on. If I tried turning it on it would flash red a couple of times on the power light.

So I figured the battery must be dead. So I order a new battery, and when it arrives I make the replacement and let it charge. Same thing happens, the power light turns red a couple of times.

I grab my brother's 3DS and put the battery inside and find that the battery works and is fully charged (Meaning my 3DS is charging the battery, it's just not displaying the orange charge light), I swap back and decide to take it to a local game store.

The local game store refuses to do anything with it, but tells me there are signs of internal corrosion. They tell me a place to call, but the place I called says they don't do systems as old as a 3DS.

So now I'm stuck wondering, what should I do? Does anyone have any ideas what could have caused this and if it's fixable? Thank you, this 3DS has a great deal of emotional value to me, and there are a few miis I want to try grabbing off of it.

Hello,

I tried to fix my GB DMG but I could not. The problem is pretty simple, I have red light, sound, game starting (I can hear the music of the games) but nothing on the screen.
I know it's not coming from the screen board because I tried with two other screen board from two working gameboys and I have nothing on the screen when I try on this particular one.

My guess is that something is wrong on the other board (the one olding CPU, cardridge reader, power) but I could not find what.

I cleaned up everything with IPA and contact cleaner with no success.

I am running out of ideas so I'm posting here in case someone can help me.

J'ai essayé de réparer ma Game Boy DMG, mais sans succès. Le problème est assez simple : le voyant rouge est allumé, le son fonctionne, le jeu se lance (j'entends la musique), mais rien ne s'affiche à l'écran.

Je sais que le problème ne vient pas de la carte écran, car j'ai essayé avec deux autres cartes écran provenant de deux Game Boy fonctionnelles et le même problème se produit.

Je suppose qu'il y a un problème sur l'autre carte (celle qui gère le processeur, le lecteur de cartouches et l'alimentation), mais je n'arrive pas à trouver laquelle.

J'ai tout nettoyé avec de l'alcool isopropylique et un nettoyant pour contacts, sans résultat.

Je suis à court d'idées, alors je poste ici au cas où quelqu'un pourrait m'aider.

I bought an used New 3ds XL and tried modding it but noticed it doesn't detect my 32gb microSD card, I've already formatted it to FAT32 with 32kb allocation size so I tried 2 other microSD cards with same format and one with 128gb 64kb allocation but nothing worked so I bought a card reader replacement for my console and even after replacing it to the new one I still can't get my 3ds to read my microSD cards, please help me cuz I'm starting to get really desperate

Also I've tried multiple apps to reset them in cases of them being broken or something like that and also they're not counterfeit

New Nintendo 2DS XL: Nintendo New 2DS XL does not power on after battery replacemet

Hello,

I recently purchased a new battery for my Nintendo New 2DS XL from iFixit. The device was working perfectly before the replacement. I decided to replace the battery because I have been using the console since launch day.

After installing the new battery, the 2DS no longer powers on. When the charger is not connected, no LEDs light up at all. When I connect the charger, the battery LED lights up orange. If I then try to turn the device on, the power LED turns on for about less then one second and immediately turns off again.

I have also reinstalled the original battery, but the same symptoms occur now.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Nintendo 3DS XL: What other things I should try to fix my bottom screen for old 3ds xl?

My bottom screen does not put out display, just all black but the whole device turns on and everything works, just not the bottom screen.

I know the motherboard is the problem and not the ribbon cable of my bottom screen as I have tested the screen on a known working 3ds xl board and it is completely fine.

Now I'm stuck with what to look out for to repair. The 2 ZIF looks normal to me as far as my eyes can see, I do not have access to a microscope to look a little closer.

So before I do anything, what other things I should look out for other than the ribbon cables? Is it possible that a fuse is dead and which one are those? Thanks for the help

Nintendo 3DS: Nintendo 3ds - Cannot display the software on the SD Card

Like the title says my 3ds started giving me this error after i removed the sd card i have always used on it since 2011

I've used the card on a computer and its working fine,even formatted it to fat32 to make sure it wasnt a software issue but still gives me this error,tried a new sd card but same result

I've opened the console up and cleaned the sd card slot pins with isopropyl alcohol and tried to make sure the pins were okay but the issue still persists

Also used some compressed air to maybe remove dirt from inside the card reader I've already ordered a sd card reader for the console but im wondering what other options i have,any ideas?

Nintendo DSi: DSI flashing light, turns off when attempted to turn on

So I recently bought a new touchscreen and shoulder Button cable for my DSI and I didn't get to test them cause it wouldnt turn on. I figured I put the battery in backwards and I checked the fuses and the fuse on the button board seemed to be dead. So I ordered a replacement that just came. I installed it, the fuse looked good, and it still did the same thing. I have two batteries and they don't seem dead as the multimeter says one has ~3.8v and one has ~4.1 volts. I put it in a bunch for both, tried many things, took out and reattached screen and camera cords, and nothing seems to work. I need help with this please!!!

Nintendo DSi: How do I fix unresponsive shoulder buttons?

Very simply, the L and R buttons on my DSi don't work anymore. I tried going to Nintendo about the problem, but they said it'd cost at least $50 to repair...and my system is long past its warranty. Will I have to take apart my DS to fix it?

Found my childhood 3ds but it won’t display anything. It turns on, the backlight and the 3d light obviously shine through, but nothing displays. Opened it up (ignore the result of stripped screws) and nothing seems out of placed or damaged. Also unplugged various parts and tried turning on but same issue. Am I missing something?

Nintendo 3DS XL 2015: N3DSXL turns on and stays on with only blue light and blank screen CFW

I accidentally dropped my N3DSXL while it was on and closed. When i opened it up, the game froze with an error i couldn’t read before turning it off.I tried to turn it on again but only the blue light stays on with no yellow light and the screen is blank.

Help is very much needed as i do not know how to diagnose or fix my dear 3DS without guidance.
