Hello there

I just bought my new, Samsung Galaxy A5 2016

Everything is fine but the USB connection is not showing up in the notification menu

I installed the driver, Samsung KIES and i updated all the USB drivers, but it still just charging when i connect it to the laptop, i tried another USB cable and it's the same charging and no MTP, i tried another phone and everything is fine there is data transfer but my phone NO!

Any help PLEASE ?

Samsung Galaxy S7: Abnormal Factory Reset- Cannot Connect to Wifi to Login

My LCD stopped working and needed to be replaced. Before I knew what the problem was a tried a soft reset. I could hear my phone ring, it would vibrate, it would light up. Anyway, after LCD was replaced, turned the phone back on it takes me through the start up Welcome screen. I choose my language and it takes me to a screen that says set up wifi. Then I get the message

" Due to an abnormal reset, the selected Wi-Fi network cannot be used. Connect to a different wi-fi network. "

No matter what wifi network I try to connect to, I get the same message. If I click the skip button it says

"Due to an abnormal factory reset, you will not be able to use this phone until you sign into your Google Account to confirm that it belongs to you. A network connection is required."

I have the google account information, however, I can't get to the sign in screen because it's not allowing me to connect to any network.

Additional information

1. I initially had Verizon with this account. I no longer live in the US so I don't have Verizon anymore.

2. I tried to sign in without a sim card, with a sim card from my current country, with a Verizon sim card from another phone that is currently activated - I get the same message with all.

HELP?!

I have tried a blow dryer and am afraid of over heating my phone. I have suction cups, guitar picks, spudgers etc.. Just afraid of damaging with too much heat. PLEASE let me know the secret.

Samsung Galaxy Note9: Why does my phone go crazy with ear buds plugged in?

Lately when I have my ear buds plugged into my phone it starts randomly doing different functions. If it turns a certain way it will randomly start playing Spotify despite the app not even being open. If I'm on YouTube it'll randomly pause and play the video. Multiple times it'll pop up with the menu asking me what app I'd like to use to perform this function when I hadn't been trying to do anything. It only does this when the ear buds are in.

If its of any importance I have two small cracks on the side of my screen but that happened months ago before this problem occurred.

Most of my incoming texts show:

Shows (No subject - message size 1KB - Expires 12:05 AM Apr 10)

When I tap on it, Failed to download - try again later and fails everytime I retry even though other texts appear.

Is this a common problem? How do I fix it?

I took my galaxy note8 off of its charger and now it has a arrow pointing down and Downloading Do not turn off target on it. I was waking up to answer a text and my phone slipped off my bed and fell into a half full glass of water. I immediately took the phone out and dried it off I took the back piece off and let it air dry cause there was no immediate problems then I get up to use the bathroom I come back and my phone shut down. I turned it back on placed it in rice it turned on fine but now the camera doesn't work and the apps that involve the camera don't work either. what should I do? please help greatly appreciated

Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus: Cracked the front glass, any suggestions for repair?

The front glass of my S8+ is currently cracked on the bottom of the screen and I want to try and find an easy/simple fix since all functions of the phone are fine. I got an estimate to repair it for $329 dollars, but I don't want to pay that much obviously if I can do it cheaper myself. I see a guide for the regular S8, is that same? Also if I put electrical tape over the crack will that suffice for a while since that part of the screen is non-touch sensitive anyway? Thanks for any suggestions. Also where could one buy replacement glass?

Just bought the used S7 on ebay and immediately noticed how bad the camera is on this. Seems like I'm always out of focus/softened/blurred whether in the camera app or snapchat. (All beauty settings are down to 0). Is something broken or what?

Samsung Galaxy S8: Galaxy S8 - No cellular signal

I replaced the cracked display on my S8 and re-assembled it. Everything works great except that I can't get a cell signal. I just the “no” symbol (circle with a slash through it) where I should get the signal strength bars. I’ve tried adjusting the various cellular network settings without success, but even without that, I’m pretty sure it’s a hardware problem.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

Samsung Galaxy S7: Why can I not place calls?

My Samsung Galaxy S7 recently stopped being able to place calls. I can still recieve calls, send and recieve messages and use data. The only this that is not working is outgoing calls. When I attempt to make a call the phone says "dialing" and the after a few seconds, it says call ended and hangs up without ever connecting the call.

If restart my phone in safe-mode and clear the cache, I can make one call successfully but then it stops working again.

I would guess that the problem would be resolved by factory resetting my device, but Iam still holding out hope that it wont come to that.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Active: Repair/Replace USB Charging Port

I (and many others) would like to have a repair guide for the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active G870A for AT&T. There are no teardowns that I can find anywhere. I need to replace the USB Charging Port for this device and I don't believe the process is the same for the other model Galaxy S5 G900A. Your help and consideration would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Sometimes, after the phone is completely dead, when I plug it in to charge, it just vibrates and does not charge.

Hello guys I bought a 2nd hand Samsung galaxy s6 edge off Ebay when I received it I wasn't happy with the item so i didn't even switch it on and i opened a return case thought will return it but unfortunately Ebay decided the case in sellers favour then I thought ok I will keep it so I turned it on and see a Samsung activation lock appears on the screen I contacted the seller several times but no reply so I'm left with this activation lock on the device which I can't even use it because I can't go further and activate the phone so I'm asking for help if anyone knows any way to sort this out would b much appreciated.thanks
