Samsung Galaxy S4: no notification sound on text messages

I installed Go SMS Pro and Chomp SMS because I thought it would be cute to have the same emoticons that I was missing from my iPhone 4S.

I didn't like the way it looked, so I uninstalled and restarted my phone. Now, I don't get sound on any incoming texts, while everything else has sound. I went to General Settings and checked that everything is properly marked. I went into the message icon and checked the settings there as well—everything is properly marked. There is no mute icon in the top bar.

This is the weird part. When I go into General Settings > Sound > Volume > Notifications and change the tone, I hear it. When I change the settings through the message icon, I do not hear the tones..... help!

I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S5. Everything works great. Unfortunately, I picked it up this morning and found that the camera lens is cracked. The screen protector on the lens is still intact, but the lens looks like a spider web. Searching online, I found a handful of people with the same issue—but no way to fix it myself. The only current option I found was to send it to Samsung directly, but I would be without a phone for up to 2 weeks, and it would cost at least $70. I was hoping I could find the part online and fix it myself, but I wasn't able to turn up anything. Is the phone just so new that this particular part is not yet available?

My power button on my Samsung Galaxy S5 is not working. Is it a firmware issue or do I need to replace the power button flex cable? If so can someone please tell me how the plastic cover comes off. Not sure which way to remove it.

Hi,

Despite how careful I was with it, I managed to drop my Samsung Galaxy S4 and of course, cracked the screen in two places. Not only this, but the LCD is blackened out in some places and won't work.

How much would it cost to have it repaired and do you have a UK store/website?

Hello! I’veen having a problem with the wifi and it’s that when I’m far from the router sometimes the internet is gone and the phone still connect to the wifi (but in another device it still work fine) I just have to turn the wifi off and on again for solve this, but I wanna know if this is a hardware problem or is the simple answer: “I’m too far from the router “

Samsung Galaxy S III: My samsung won't charge, and isn't the battery's fault.

My phone was working fine, and charging fine, but when i woke up in the morning and went to check my phone the battery was at 35%. I unplugged my phone, and then plugged it back in. I waited a couple minutes and then when i checked it, it still wasn't charging. I took my battery out and put it back in after 15 min, and tried again... still nothing. So i took the battery out again and took the battery out of my cousins phone (Same exact phone,) and it still wouldn't charge. I tried plugging his phone in with my battery and it worked fine. So, what should i do? Also if i do need a repair, around how much would it cost? Thanks everyone!

Samsung Galaxy S III: Galaxy S3 headphone jack only plays sound through left ear.

I have tried several different headphones in my brand new Samsung Galaxy S III, but sound only plays from the left side of the headphones. I do not wish to return my unit to Samsung or ATT for repair or to get a replacement refurbished unit.

If I push on the headphone jack, the sound will play out of the right ear. Is there a way to repair this?

I cracked my glass within 3 weeks of buying my S6 Edge and I was wondering if there is a way to replace just the glass. Not to brag, but I'm a real techy guy and I've done other screen replacements in the past. I did a glass only repair on the s5, and from the pictures I've seen, the lcd is bendable on the edge. Will this still use LOCA glue and a UV light? I've got the tools, I'd just need to buy the parts. The glass is very cheap but the lcd and glass combo is over $200. Just wanting someone else's input before I go into something that could be way over my head. Thanks in advance! :)

I've had !@#$ Phone for a year now and the first time when i had the problem with the power button it just would not turn off my phone, then I did some research on the web and and I came across a tip where you will take out the battery leave it like that for a day and then it will work. To my surprise it did work, for another three months and now it happened again and now I can't turn my phone on now for a week now.

I live in Kosovo and there are not Samsung service shops around.

My question is: Can it be fix? Where? ore any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
