Hi, I purchased this unit at Office Depot and would like to use it fully as a Mac unit. However it came with a 6MB Windows file called U3 System. Normally I wouldn't care about the 6MB but every time I use the stick I have to separately eject this file. Its a nuisance I would like to be rid of but get info says I can only read the file. Anyone know how I can delete it? Ralph

I have tried to delete this thing every way I know. In get info its listed as a read only file. Ralph

I have this SanDisk flash drive that has been cracked. I am wondering if there is any way to retrieve my data. I have found a couple videos that show recovery experts attempting to solder it where the wires may be broken or switch the nand and the connector chip. Has anyone ever had this performed on their SanDisk and if so, how likely is it to actually work?

Hello

Recently my parent’s flash drive had been physically broken and cannot receive power. I took off the plastic case and saw that the PCB of the flash drive and the stem were together. The physical damage of the drive has a line going across where the PCB and the stem head meet and does go across a few traces on the PCB. This is my first time dealing with something like this and I’m wondering what I can do. Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you!

Sandisk USB Stick SDCZ410 64GB: Re-wiring broken connector for data recovery

This stick has 5 PINS which do not follow normal USB stick convention. I need to resolder a 4 pin USB-A cable to the board and need to know which pins are VCC, GND, D+, and D-,.....I have buzzed out with a meter but come up with nothing except the middle pin pictured is GND ?? go figure...anyone know anything at all about this ? SANDISK will not release any pinouts or schematic

Photo with RED must be the 4 PIN USB A 2.0 connections.....unfortunately it is snapped off the board taking half the tracks with it by the looks. I am locating the same stick to recreate the tracks, connect the 4 x USB wires, and hopefully recover data !!

I inject the drive in the USB socket. It shows the USB drive is there but any files of the cruzer blade do not open.

Sandisk Cruzer 4GB: 2nd partition not booting/no drive designation--SOLVED

I installed (not live) a Linux O.S. onto the 2nd partition of this flashdrive. It won’t boot and there’s no “drive” letter designation.(in MSWin it should be F.G, etc in GParted it should be sdb2/sdc/2) When I go to either Win disk mgmt. or GParted, the area for changing/adding a drive letter is grayed out.. The second partition is active, primary and set to “boot”. First partition is active and primary. What I want to accomplish is assigning a drive letter so (I believe ??) the comp will recognize the second partition and then, boot up.

[SanDisk Cruzer Glide 3.0/256Gb 1st partition; 200Gb (aprox 126Gb used) active, primary 2nd partition; 33.5 Gb (LM 19.1 uses 8Gb) primary, active w/ flag set to boot.]

I accidentally droped the laptop that this was plugged in to… the cover for it split and when we went to plug it back in, it wasn’t showing up on the computer. I feel like this can be fixed easily since the connection to the motherboard is still intact… It’s just not showing up on the laptop.

Sandisk Cruzer 4GB: usb unreadble on my tv

my usb which worked perfectly fine on my tv now gets the error of being unreadable on my tv

the only thing i did was i formatted the usb for installing mac osx

then upon reformatting using disk utility

it wont be read on the tv

while it works perfectly fine on my laptop to fop and my tv can read other usbs

i would like to know what would be the issue and how to fix it
