Symptoms:

- The sound is like metal hitting metal.

- It happens in both Neutral (stationary) and while driving.

- The frequency of the noise increases as the RPM increases.

I have recorded a video of the sound to help with the diagnosis. What could be causing this? Could it be a cracked flexplate/flywheel, loose torque converter bolts, or something internal like a rod knock?

Any help identifying this noise from the video would be greatly appreciated.

My Suzuki Vitara M16A 1.6 VVT engine has rough idle, upon checking cylinder 3 has low compression. I've checked all valves and there is suitable clearance. Rocker cover isn't pressurised when running, oil loos good, no white or black smoke. It's sometimes difficult to start.

Any ideas?

I've checked and replaced the batteries in both keys and attempted to re-pair them using multiple sequences. However, the central locking works fine from inside the car using the buttons and I've also checked all the fuses, which are okay.

What could be the issue?
