Washing Machine: Samsung washing machine (wf42h5000aw/a2) will not power on

The washer will not power on when the power button is pushed. It did turn on intermittently (once every 5-10 times) for a few days, but not at all now.

The main control board (right side) is flashing green every 5 seconds which I believe means it is functioning, or at least getting power. See photo:

When I push the power button, I hear a clicking sound and a green light on the smaller control board (left of photo) flashes 7 times, then goes off.

Whirlpool Washing Machine: whirpool top loader won't agitate or spin, does fill and drain

Got an older Whirpool top loading washer (direct drive). Fills and drains as expected, but won't agitate or spin. The timer goes through the cycles as expected, and I can hear what sounds like a motor turning in there, but it doesn't translate into agitation or spin.

I don't think it's the lid switch as it does make the expected click, and it IIRC this washer will still agitate when the lid is open.

The other symptom is that I cannot turn the agitator with my hand. Or I can only turn it a little bit. Usually with the washer off I can turn it pretty well with just hand strength. Does this indicate a broken coupler or clutch?

Hello. When our samsung front load washer gets to the spin cycle it sounds like horses are galloping through the laundry room. It is under warranty. They replaced shocks....just as bad or maybe even worse. If you are in the room it's so loud you can not hear a person talk beside you. I read a few of the other questions of similar nature on here but didn't see on where shocks had already been replaced and checked that not clothing or foreign objects in machine. I video recorded the sound when I turn drum by hand. The bang happens when you move the drum so simple to reproduce the noise. The tech seemed stumped so I thought I'd ask professionals online. Thank you for any ideas.

Maytag Bravos quiet series 300: UL code always comes on what can I do to fix?

My Maytag bravo quiet series 300 washer runs for about 10 minutes then the "UL " code comes up and I tried to level the load out . I even made sure the inside drum is level. Can you please help me fix the problem???

Kenmore 110 Series Washing Machine: Washer makes very loud noise during spin cycle

My washer makes a very loud noise during the spin cycle (it does not make the load noise during any other cycles). The load is balanced and the drum is not wobbling side to side.

I have the same problem, it’s the drum bearings and seal. The seal leaks and water gets in the bearings and destroys them, hold the outer drum then try to move the inner drum, if it moves at all it’s gone!!

I'm going to pull mine apart and goto an auto parts place to match them! If that doesn't work will try to find them by the old part number on each one, I have two bearings and one seal. Good luck!

My lid lock assembly only plugs into one spot and that's the control board do I go to the lid lock assembly under the hood and cut the wires and bypass it or do I pull the plug from the control board and jumped it there if I have to do it under the machine at the assembly I'm going to have to wire nut the wires together it's model# 1105072011 Kenmore residential washer or wire harness red white blue and yellow wires please help I have 5 kids and haven't done laundry in 3 days I tried to fix this all weekendthank you

Washing machine will not turn on, no selections will work. GFCI power outlet was tripped, I reset the outlet and it does have power. Tried different outlet, same result.

Is there a reset button in washer or any fuses. Made sure lid was fully closed.

Whirlpool Washing Machine: washer has had the error codes F03 and E01.

My whirlpool duet washer has had the error codes F03 and E01. The pressure switch has been replaced 3x’s with no results. Still get that error.

I pointed out that it may be an Air Dome Assembly per service bulletin for this model of washer with the model # WFW95HEDWO. He, “The Tech” answer, even after I showed him the bulletin was “no I don’t think that the problem”. How much is that part and how hard is it to replace? Also, should I pursue this possible fix with Whirlpool?

Samsung Washing Machine: What does the error code 3E mean on my front loader washing machine?

The error code 3E keeps showing up on the machine at the start of the cycle. It won’t spin or start a rinse cycle or anything. I run the machine on test mode and when I select either spin or rinse it comes up with the error. I took the motor out and checked the bushes and they are all fine, but when I remove the top of the washing machine and play around with the wire harnessing and making sure plugs are pushed all the way in (I don’t really feel like I do anything to them) it starts working again! I have done this twice now and then it will stop working again after 4 or 5 washes. I’m not sure what would be causing it but I’m hoping someone could help me narrow it down so I can get it fixed permanently without having to get a new machine. Cheers

Hello, thank you for any assistance.

My Kenmore washer has two things going on.

First "new thing" is it agitates during initial water fill. Never did that before. It would normally fill properly to selected level... THEN start agitating. Now it just starts agitating second I turn it on.

Second thing is it continually adds water through rinse cycle AND spin cycle. So I get a water soaked load of laundry at end of spin cycle.

What part could I replace to correct the problem with the continuous rinse during spin/dry cycle?

Well, after reading repair boards/forums for days! I tried what someone suggested. It worked! All it cost was $7.

Go to AutoZone or Advance auto. Buy a can of CRC Lectra-Motive electric parts cleaner. Then go open the washing machine you can watch a YouTube video how to do it. Basically remove the two plastic side retainer pieces. Remove screws and clips. Get to the electronics. Spray down all control boards and connection plugs you find. It's basically having a bad connection or jumping do to years of humid conditions, dust, vibrations. I am not sure which part or wire connection was at fault. Like I said I sprayed all I found.

This cleaner is potent! Respirator recommended. Fan a must! Fan helps dry everything I sprayed. After spraying I left fan on high for 3 hours blowing into the sprayed parts.

Then I clipped the connections back together. Then put everything back together. Did a test load and BAM it was fixed. $7. No parts. It has been running perfect ever since. I can't even remember when I posted this.

It's NOT hard. YouTube video on opening unit. Get the CRC Electric cleaner and do it.

Our w/d are 1998 but we keep them clean. No reason to but new ones. The only other repair was the "dogs" on the agitator... it's a wear item. Kenmore/Whirlpool are great machines. NEVER BUY THOSE STUPID FRONT LOADER MACHINES! Keep it simple. People. BAM

Kenmore Elite HE3 Washing Machine: washer does not finish drain cycle

My washer has started to stop during the drain cycle. It sounds like the pump is running. When this happens, many times the door will not unlock. I have to unplug and replug the electric cord. Sometimes it works, other times, I have to do that several times before the cycle is complete.

Is there some kind of filter in the drain line that could be getting clogged?

My washer is making a huge noise at the end like the tub is banging back so loud I can hear upstairs in my house I have cleaned the drain. I know it was not draining and I fixed that problem I think the clothes were to heavy now it's making this loud banging noise in the spin cycle.

Maytag Bravos quiet series 300: I get the F51 error code

I get the F51 error code on my Maytag bravos every time I run it. I can't fix it myself. Can anyone advise whether it's worth it to pay a repairman (unit is exactly six years old) or long term more cost effective to buy a new one at this point?

Kenmore Elite HE3 Washing Machine: The unit shut off mid-cycle and now there is no power

Hello. I hope someone can help.

I started a load in my washer this morning as I was walking out the door - something I have done almost every day since we got it. When I returned home, there was no light on indicating that the clothes were clean. I thought maybe the power was out, but the power was on. I checked the circuit breaker and it was fine, but I re-set it just in case. When I checked the washer again, still nothing. No lights. The clothes are locked inside because there is no power to unlock the door. It doesn't look like the cycle ever started because the clothes look dry (never wet). The detergent drained out of the drawer into the unit, but the fabric softener is still in there. All these things lead me to believe that the unit just shut off shortly after I left the house.

My questions are these:

1. Is there a re-set button the the washer itself?

2. Is there a fuse or something that controls the power that I can replace?

3. Has anyone ever had this problem? What did you do?

Thanks so much. I have loved this machine and hope we can fix it.
