Just as a guess but the little white peice that fell out may just be a little roller in the back that helps the paper feed more smotthly. If you take out the paper jam cover ther should be a twin roller and if there is only one than it most likely came from there. It just snaps back in. Hope this helps if you haven't figured it out yet.
