-When working with electronic there is, always a risk of, any type of electrical discharge. Such as stored power not discharged static electricity so forth. Always keep yourself grounded, by wearing rubber gloves(surgical gloves work too) or keeping on hand on a object with the same, electrical frequency. A screwdrivers, meant for electrical work have handle made of rubber. It is completely safe but as for everything precautions have to be taken. The risk is there but it minimal.
