Why can't my samsung gear connect to my Moto G5 Plus

My Samsung gear SM-700 wont connect to my Motorola G5 Plus, it worked on my Samsung S3 and it has been reset to factory settings. Bluetooth does connect but the app doesnt see it. I downloaded Samsung Gear in the Playstore but it doesnt see it. What do i do now?
