Okay, I have finished replacing the screen. The problem was that the ribbon cables were pretty low quality. It took a lot of attempts and praying but I just had to plug in the ribbon cable and then press all the edges individually into place with a plastic spudger. It took a lot of tries because whenever I plugged in one edge another came out but after a few minutes of fiddling around I plugged the camera in successfully. It now works perfectly and is indeed OEM quality. The home button had a poor ribbon cable too so I just used my original home button from my original screen because I wanted to keep touch ID.
