i put a cd player in my car before and switched it out for a newer cd player.now that i put a new one in it won't work.i double checked to make sure all wires where right and fuses...What else could it be for it not to work?

First thing I would do is test the power wire to the stereo with a volt meter and see if you are getting 12 volts from it and at the same time make sure the Ground source is also working, if that is good I would look for a fuse that is in the stereo itself and see if it's good, if that's all good then I would have to think the stereo may be bad.

Is it an aftermarket stereo or a Toyota brand? Do you use an amp with it? What was the issue with the old one? You just replaced it to go with a newer player?
