After changing my battery I get No Battery Power message

I changed the battery on my IPod, however I get "No battery power remains. Please connect iPod to power." Message. If I plug it in with a wall charger, it works, but it says it's fully charged.

Help!

have you tried your old battery to see if that one will charge? Make sure you connected the battery properly and it is possible that you have a bad battery. Keep the iPod plugged in longer and see if it either charges or gets hot.
