Dropped MBP screen stopped displaying. Replaced screen original number (LP133WX2) replacement screen(LTN133AT09). Still doesn't work, wondering if the replacement screen is compatable with MPB. Replaced the cable with the same results, still doesn't work. Plugged into external monitor and it works. What else can I try to fix this problem. How can I check the output from the video brd to the display.

The first thing I would question is the replacement part LTN133AT09. Why did you buy this part instead of (LP133WX2)? Who was the supplier? Where did the LDVS cable come from? When it was dropped where did it hit, any external visible dents? What, if anything showed up on the original monitor and was it broken?

It's my son-in-law's MBP, he dropped it said it had a streak down the middle when he turned it on. No dents. He ordered the screen and cable. He replaced the screen and it didn't work, sent it back got this one. He handed the everything over to me, MBP, screen and cable. That is why I asked about the screen being compatible. I'm not sure about the new cable now the part number on the new cable OH15000ZLDNGC.

gnrnld, I am not a Mac person and not the expert here. So you definitely want to take my answer with a grain of salt:) that would be mayer. But I just checked the datasheets for both panels. The backlight electrical properties are totally different, as well as the LVDS interface connectors are different. So, there may be a minute chance that a cable that is made for the LTN133AT09 and would fit your MBP, could resolve that, but at this time looking at the datasheets, you are trying a panel that is not compatible. The datasheet for the LP133WX2 is available here and for the LTN133AT09 right here. Hope this helps, good luck.

Thanks oldturkey0 I did look at the data sheet for the LTN133AT09 said it was 30 pins same as the LP133WX2. The cable he got is OH15000ZLDNGC. Since I tried both the new cable with the new screen together and it didn't work its not the right cable.
Mayer, the cable came from L2 computer inc part number 2008 2009 2010.
I have the correct screen, connected it with the old cable no display.
Connect with the new cable and new screen no display.
Connect to external monitor the MBP is working.
What else can I try to fix this problem.

gnrnld, I checked the datasheets for your panel again. The LVDS pinouts are different for the panels but the connectors are the same, this might be the reason while the cable fits.
Again thanks oldturkey03 for that information and your time. I have another screen now and its the same, no display.
Mayer, got the correct screen, connected with old LVDS cable dipslpay din not work. Connected with new LVDS cable, same thing display did not work..Works with external monitor connected.
What else can I try? Are there fuses for the output to the screen.
