Dropped and broke the LCD on the macbook. Got a new one but when I installed it and checked under the system profiler it reads not connected. Tried reinstalling the old screen and said the same thing. Thinking I did something to the display cable while changing the screens. Is it most likely busted or just needs plugged back in?

Hook it up to an external monitor and let us know your results. Reseat the display data cable. Use a flashlight and see if you can discern the desktop.
