No Service, Doesn't Recognize Verizon, After Screen Replacement

So after getting my screen replaced once, I cracked it again and was determined to fix it myself. Everything on my phone works completely fine, except for one MINOR (sarcasm...major) thing...

- when i start my phone up it says its activating

- then says cannot be activated and to contact my carrier

- then it says no service

- the no service goes away

- and then at the top of the phone it shows bars and 3G, but in between those two things normally says Verizon, and that isn't there anymore

i tried calling *228 to activate my phone and it just says sorry your phone cannot be activated...

PLEASE HELP ME!

this may sound obvious, but do you have any parts left over? did you insert the sim properly? All antennae cables connected and seated properly? just making sure.

Check antenna and grounding metal part that goes by the battery.

OK just to make sure, you never deactivated that phone correct? It was your regular phone and you did a screen replacement but the verizon never showed up again, is that correct? If so I still think the antenna may be bad...

make sure there is no tare on the actual antenna (glued to the buzzer) and that the metal prongs that are attached to the buzzer are not broken and are under correctly inserted in between the buzzer and the metal elevation...

Let me know if that works!

what happened was my iphone 4s screen broke to the point where i could not use it anymore, i never deactivated it and ended up activating a different phone temporarily, an iphone 4. i ended up replacing the screen on the iphone 4s perfectly fine, except for the service issue i am encountering. i have taken the speaker portion including the antennae out multiple times, de attaching and re attaching the antennae and it still doesn't work. i took the speaker-antennae portion out of the iphone 4 and tried it in the iphone 4s and it still doesn't work. any ideas?

I had just encountered the same problem. I replaced an iPhone 4s screen (Verizon) and everything worked great. Then my customer presumed to factory reset the phone. The phone could connect to the wifi but it would also say 'No Service' in the top left corner where their should be service. My customer did not have a way to finish the restore until they could get service. So how we resolved it was I plugged the phone into iTunes and it allowed the phone to find service. I don't fully understand why the phone needed to be connected to iTunes; maybe someone with more experience could answer that for me. Let me know if this helped.
