Where to buy a speaker
Great, the guide is available to dissassemble iMac down to the speaker. But where do I buy another, used if possible? There is a link to parts, but speakers don't get linked.

IFIXIT doesn't sell everything. Give eBay a try.

But Dan, what are the 16 parts listed at beginning? iMac Intel 20" EMC 2105 and 2118 Speakers Replacement
Their web page shows all of the parts they offer that works within the system (numerically).
Got it, so now we all are on the same page, Ebay or local source is just another place to go. There are some parts listed with your particular device guide here in iFixit. Some, not everything. In this case, there's no speakers listed. They probably don't list repair parts, just replacements of things typically upgraded.

It depends what type of speaker. IF you are trying to buy a stereo speaker for like music, you could go to Best Buy. If you're trying to buy a car speaker, the best place would be Pep Boys Auto Parts & Service. If you're trying to buy headphones or something, Best Buy would be the right place.

Sienna - I think rmshreffler was looking for a replacement speaker for the internal one that has gone bad. You do raise a good point on using an external speaker setup as well.
Yeah I suppose if he wanted to install his iMac in his car this would be a pretty good answer.
