You buy some PC2-5300 Ram sticks (MacBooks only accept 2) and your MacBook only accepts a maximum of 3 Gbs of RAM so you should have a 1 gb and a 2 gb ram stick for optimal RAM configuration. Here is a guide to installing the RAM: Installing MacBook Core 2 Duo RAM

Which version exactly do you have? If you have a santa rosa or penryn you can go up to 4 gb, instad of just three. Follow the guide linked by rj713 to see how to install.
