Add SSD to a Fusion drive iMac

Hi

I have a 3TB Fusion drive and I just bought a 1TB 2.5" SSD (Samsung EVO 840).

I want to add it to my iMac as my boot disk and make the Fusion as storage.

Is there any way to do so without removing the 3TB HDD and break the Fusion?

I saw this product but than I'll have a useless Blade 128GB SSD:

My iMac configuration is:

27-inch, Late 2012

3.4GHz i7

32GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX

Only some models have blade connectors are your certain yours is one that does?

Have you figured out where and how you will mount the SSD there's not a lot of room in there.

In your link it shows that every late 2012 27" iMac has it and mine has a fusion drive so it uses it now, right?

Yes - my mistake in reading, all 27" models do have it - but there's not a lot of room, how/where are you going to mount the non-blade SSD?

In the worst case I will remove the SSD casing.

So there is no way to connect it without removing something?
