Won't boot, magsafe dimly lit green
I purchased my MacBook Pro 13" in mid 2009, or about this time last year. It was working fine until last week after I shutted the machine down that was fully charged. A few days later, I was unable to turn the machine on and the battery was completely discharge. Plugged the power adapter in, it does not lit up orange but very dimly green.
What I have read so far indicate a logic board problem when this happened.
My question is, can a logic board be repair instead of replacement due to the cost?
The reason I ask this question is, my machine is still under warranty and being repair by Apple. Plus, I could still get the warranty extended for 2 years at $250. It is obvious that at some point, I will not be able to extend the warranty, is this a frequent problem, and if this problem happen again, could the logic board be repair?
