Where is Location of Elmo's Activation Box Cover?

Karen Dee Koza, Elmo actually uses 3 AA batteries. check the images to show you where the batteries are and how to replace them. Hope this helps, good luck.

I cleaned the battery connections in the compartments with Emery board and then inserted the new batteries. 2005 model works like new.

My Elmo (copyrighted 2005) does not have a velcro strip or any thing in the back so I can't open it.
Any ideas how to solve the problem?

did you ever figure it out i ha the same problem
My ELMO has double A batteries. 2 under 4 in the batt box in left foot. Does not have any other batts I can find. Still won't work with all new batts. Help?

Is it possible to remove the fur covering somehow to access the gears?
My Tickle Me Elmo has 2 AA in 1 foot and 4 in other foot, he also has left arm tethered to his chest. 90's vintage, Fisher-Price Inc. H9207.
He is having trouble standing up again, anyone had this problem, or taken off coat above knees??
