Why won't my Bodum B-Over Pour Coffee Maker power on?

I've only had this machine for about 2.5 months and it will not turn on. This really stinks. Not because I don't have any coffee...luckily enough, we kept the machine it replaced. It stinks because it makes probably THE BEST cup of coffee I've ever tasted.

Please help me.

I believe the problem is associated with one of two components (sensors/switches). There is one which which detects whether the carafe is in position (half-round button at base near back of the machine) and one which detects whether enough/any water is in the water tank.

Though the first switch/sensor could be the problem, in my experience the failure appears to be most often associated with the water-level switch. There is a small white block which floats in a chamber (look through the back near and just above the copper colored heating element) when water is present. I believe, when it is in one position, the coffee maker functions as it should, allowing water to flow through to the shower-head. When it is in the other position, it senses there is no water present and will not turn on. I have as yet not determined what is the exact cause of this problem, but since I have a few spare machines, I intend to disassemble one and attempt to get to the bottom of this mystery.

Check this out, I'm going to work on one tomorrow and confirm if the water level switch is the culprit.
