MBZ 1980 450 SL Rear Lid Torsion Bar Replacement

This section of iFixit focuses on the W123 chassis (E-class) that Mercedes produced from 1977-1985. That is what I have, and what I am familiar with at this time.

Your car is a R107 chassis (SL-class), and so I don't have a good answer right off hand for your question.
