iPod has got wet and the Wi-Fi isn't working.

My iPod 1st Generation got wet. Not completely but it was wet for a long time and didn't work at all. Now I'm able to use it but its battery back-up is all gone and after half an hour or so it turns off and then doesn't start up again. My main problem is that my Wi-Fi is not working its showing no Wi-Fi in my settings.

Please Help Me and tell me what should I do.
