Why does my remote not stay on

Could be a bad charging cord, battery, or charging port. First before cracking the controller open, Look at the charging port and see if there is any damage to the port. The port is located on the light bar board and it may just be a loose ribbon cable going from that board to the motherboard. If that's ok try another charging cable or charging station. If that doesn't help you can buy batteries from Amazon or Ebay.
