Most likely culprit will be your memory.
you have no idea how many "End of Life" computers i get that just simply need the memory re-seated.

Mine did exactly that. A new cmos battery fixed it.

have you tried a different monitor yet? Or have you tired to connect the monitor to a different computer? Just to rule out a bad monitor.
