The End of Cycle Signal button is probably stuck on your console assembly. A pin check would normally be performed to verify this failure.

To perform this type of check, you would need to access the control board of the washer. Unplug the washer to completely disconnect electrical power. Remove the screws on the back of the top panel that secure it to the back panel. Lift the top panel up an backward and remove it from the top of the washer. The machine control board will be mounted on the left side of the washer as you face its front. Locate the P3 and P4 connectors on the control board. The connections on the board will be labeled. Disconnect the wire harness plugs from these connections. Note the numbering of the pin connections on the machine control board. With a volt/ohm meter, connect the positive lead to the wire plug lead on the wire harness that connects to pin 12 of the P3 connector. (NOTE: These electrical connections are small. You may need to stick a safety pin or paper clip into the wire harness plug and touch the meter lead to the item stuck into the plug.) Connect the negative lead to the plug lead on the wire harness that connects to pin 2 of the P4 connector. Pressing the End of Cycle Signal button should produce a change in resistance through this wire harness connection as the button is held down. To compare this button to one that should be operating properly, you could move the positive lead over to harness pin 13 on P3 to check the Pause/Cancel button. If the End of Cycle Signal button is not working properly, the console assembly will need to be replaced. Otherwise, the machine control board would need to be replaced.

If you are not able to perform the above pin check of the End of Cycle Signal button, you can replace the console assembly and this will probably correct your problem. If you still have the problem after replacing the console, then the machine control board would need to be replaced.

To remove the console, remove the two screws that fasten the console assembly to the dryer. Electrical power and the cable connections to the machine control board should still be disconnected. Rotate the console assembly out and off of the dryer.
