poor charge after display assembly repair

ok, i have just finished repairing a customers phone. I know i should have tested phone before hand but i didnt.

Screen repair went ok as usual but the phone is not charging great. Now Im aware of the usual after problems when repairing an iphone like phone going dead after removing charger.

This is not the case, the phone will charge ok if you bend the charger upwards in the dock connector. I have tried a different charger.

Now Im thinking this is maybe a problem that i didnt make...as the dock connector is not even removed when replacing the display assembly...
