i think revising the guide isn't an option. most people find it easier to do it that way instead of soldering it half assembled.

the headphone jack can be almost easily fixed with a little bit of soldering tin and 4 tiny cables.

no - that would make no sense at all - the help "we" (the users) provide is free and many of "us" are pro's in the computer/mobile device business - but "we" must find a way to "spread the word" in a way that many of the "non professional users" are able to fix their stuff
