surface won't start. How do I fix this?

I bought the surface RT when it first came out, one day it would not start. No support from my Microsoft store. I bought a new charger, that did not work, pressed the start button and the volume up button until my fingers hurt.

The only thing that worked for me was to go on line get the information and take the back off disconnect and reconnect the battery and like magic "IT WORKS AGAIN".
