Tips Opening Case and Checking Fuse Link?

Inherited a GPX C971 Portable CD, AM/FM Radio Cassette Recorder that does Not show power on either AC or Batteries.

Checked the Internet for a Service/Repair Manual but to date have found nothing.

Have found http://www.fixya.com/support/p331827-gpx... but there are No answers for any questions about this model.

Since there is No power on either AC or Batteries am guessing the problem is a blown fusible link.

Appreciate any suggestions taking apart these portable boom boxes and looking for a fusible link.
