Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1 inch) not turning on?

Hi everyone!

I have a problem with a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1 inches, GSM, WiFi) that is not showing any sign of life.

I had it by a friend of mine, that has a baby who smashed the tablet on the floor. At the beginning I was pretty sure that the problem was the LCD/Digitizer, but I found out that it's not turning on or just charging. No sign of life on the screen. Tried to turn it on with all the possible buttons combinations, but nothing.

At this point I really don't know which problem could be: battery? Motherboard? Broken LCD?
