The place where I would insert my cord for my tablet to work, is messed up. When I put the cord in it doesn't charge and there is nothing actually wrong with the charger. It has no shorts. It looks as if there is something inside the device or something bent that is preventing it from charging.

The charging port is most likely faulty or dirty.
Try cleaning the port out gently with a needle.
