Do the 2012 and 2013 MacBook Air 13" use the same keys?

I want to buy a 2013 Air 13" with a non English keyboard, but I'd like to swap the different keys with English ones. There are about 12 different keys in total.

I've found a broken 2012 Air 13" on eBay for a very low price and wanted to get it primarily for the keys, as single keys sell for around $3-4 on eBay anyway.

But are the keys the same on the two models?

I know how to remove and replace the single keys, so that's no problem. But I've seen in the past with other Mac laptops that the white scissor mechanisms under the keys are often different from one year's model to the next.

You are correct Apple uses a few different keyboards.

The best thing I can recommend you do is first review this sites description of the different keys The Book Yard. Once you have identified your keyboard after popping off one of your keycaps, see if the person with the keyboard is willing to pop one of the keycaps on his keyboard. If they match then you're set, if not give the The Book Yard a try.
