I need to know where exactly the wifi chip/ic on my z30 motherboard is located. My wifi sometimes detects signals , sometimes not . If is detects signals , sometimes it connects sometimes not . I think a simple heating up the wifi chip might fix my problem. Please some 1 help me tx.

Nav J, from what it looks like on the schematic the Wifi chip is U1000. It is under the EMI shield marked on the attached image

Hi I have removed the shield , please confirm whether the shiny IC is wifi IC or not. Also on the another picture you may notice that one small connector is broken . Can you please tell me what is the use of that connector.?

what you managed to do? I am in the same situation. No wifi but great 4G signal
You repaired it? I need to know if a buy another phone cheaper and replace the mother board

Nav J, you will have to provide us with a good image of your circuit board. U1000 and the rest of the WiFi circuitry are under the EMI shield just adjacent to your micros Sd and SIM card slot

Sorry I was out of town . I will post close up pic of the motherboard . Please point of where is the wifi IC located . Also if you have any idea of wifi antenna plz let me know
