What part needs to be replaced.
The washer goes thru the entire wash cycle fine. When the spin cycle start the motor surges and the unit will not get up to full speed.

You can also get parts at the same location. I've used these folks a couple of times and shipping was fast. Only thing I don't know is which part you need.

Your washer needs a transmission, it is not staying in neutral when draining, it should drain the water then spin, but yours is trying to spin full of clothes and water, this is hard on the clutch so that should be changed as well

the "spin tube"is the basket drive and the pads on it act as a break to stop the inner tub from spining when the lid is opened...the clutch is cliped onto the transmission and is sold separate....when the motor spins one way the transmission agitates, then when the motor turns the other way the transmission goes into nutral postion and the washer drains, then after a couple min to let the washer drain, the timer cut power to the motor for a few seconds..the transmissoin drops into spin gear and the timer sends power to the motor and then spinn the tub.....this washer is going from wash to spin and not going into nutral....causing the washer to spin and drain at the same time causing the motor to lag and over heat the clutch.....the basket drive should be ok.....if when the washer is spining and you lift the lid (to engage the breaks) a clunk is heard ,then the basket drive will need to be replced ( special tool to remove tub nut)
i've done hundreds of trannys and i find most times the basket drive is ok
