Hello,
I just replaced a iphone 5s screen, but now there are vertical lines on the screen. I tried other lcd's and there are giving me the same problem.
Why are there vertical lines when only the LCD cable is connected? FPC connecter of the LCD?

I fixed my problem now: On my case there were 2 problems:
1. Damaged touchscreen connector
2. Lose contact in the ribbon flex of the lcd itself.

probably the fpc connector on your motherboard
check for damaged/bend pin or dust
and clean the conector maybe there is some dirt/oil

Did that already, I connect ONLY my LCD flex to the motherboard. It still giving lines, There is no visible damage on LCD fpc, but there is damage on Digitizer fpc.
So the question? is it FPC digitizer, or FPC lcd?

in this case if the FPC on your mother board are fine
all you need is to order a new LCD assembly
it will surely cost more to repair the fpc on a lcd assembly than buy a new one

But I already tried like 3 new LCD assemblies. Which are giving the same problem.
I'd also like to know the answer to this. There is no visible damage to the FPC Connectors on mine... They have been thoroughly cleaned with alcohol and good working screens tested.
It's the u3 display ic.
