Finger swipe not working
Why does iPad a1395 fail to set up and doesn't respond to finger swipe?

Can you be a little bit more detailed about the issue. Also what IOS Version is it?

i bought is used and i cannot get to the desktop because swipe does not work. here is what was listed about the item i bought:
The item featured in this auction is an Apple iPad Model A1395 32 GB
At the time of listing, item powers up, synchs and charges.
HOWEVER, Item fails to set up because it does not respond to finger swipe - screen is not sensitive. It does however recognizes finger swipe when turning off.
I would suggest a reset by holding the power and home keys down until the Apple logo appears. See if that helps.
that did not work,. after itunes update and restore the screen was jumping and somehow it jumped to wifi, saw my network, typed in garbage to fill the entire pw box up then it continually alternated between numeric, alpha and space bar. it clicks all alpha and then changed to numeric it clicks those too alternating between uppercase clicking letters, lower case clicking letters, numeric clicking numbers, i cannot stop it or type anything in. it will not allow me to use the back arrow to delete what it auto typed in as my pw. it finally stopped that and error message said, obviously, incorrect pw for my wifi and when i dismiss i starts the shennigains all over again.
someone told me it sounds like i need to repolace the digitizer. Is that the problem?

there is a dent in the left bottom corner of the ipad that looks as if it has been dropped. The person i bought from doesnt know anything.

If the digitizer was replaced, it sounds like a bad digitizer. Try changing it out and that should do the job.
