Why is it not working
Surround sound works fine but DVD no longer works very clean and no noticeable damage I would like to know what's wrong and how to fix it

Hi,
Try cleaning the laser lens of the dvd drive.
Here is a link that shows how to do clean the lens of a dvd drive. You will have to work out how to gain access to it in your particular player
Please observe all safety precautions. Remove the power when you are working on it or have the cover removed. You can either use the method shown to clean the lens or use a QTip moistened with Isopropyl Alcohol (90%+)

Hi, Just to clarify. What exactly happens if you want to play a DVD? Does the DVD drawer move in/out? If so does the disc spin? Have you tried the DVD control buttons on the unit as well as the remote?

Andrew Abbott, does it still play CD's but not DVD's or does it not play anything?

For more detail you put a DVD or CD and for several minutes just says reading and few minutes later stops says no disc
