This is a 320 Gigs Mybook . It is about 6 years old. I don't see it powering up when I plug it in the adopter. The blue light that should come on is not turning on.
Is there a fuse or something I can check?

Sounds like the power supply has failed. The drive is probably good. All you may need is a new external enclosure. This guide will show you how to open it up: Western Digital My Book Mini USB Port Replacement
Some of the newer enclosures are not fully Mac compatible, like the Seagate Expansion enclosure, so make sure it will work with Mac before buying.
